An affordable, powerful 4K monitor

This machine isn't perfect, but it produces perfect images, especially if you're nowhere near sunlight. Photographers, designers and videographers will love this unit.Anyway . I had a problem with screen tearing at the start then I've checked some reviews and that is very common problem .

asus = gaming

Im loving it, this is a great asus monitor, that 3840 X 2160 resolution at 60 hz is amazing for gaming

What can I say that doesn't sound fanboy.

ASUS cheesed me off mightily about 10 years ago with their customer support being in the toilet and this is the first product of theirs I have bought in about a decade. I do bear grudges. This monitor has the exact same panel as the Samsung 4K.

Great monitor - only held back by my laptop's hardware

This is not perfect with my older MacBook Pro (mid 2012), but as close as it gets. I was looking for an external monitor for my MacBook Pro, but Apple states, that it only supports up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on an external display.

Asus PB287Q

The Asus PB287Q is the first in what we expect to be a minor glut of ‘cheap' 4K monitors from known brands, including Dell, AOC and Samsung. They're all based on cheaper TN panel technology and claim low 1ms response times, which ought to make them perfect for those looking to play the latest games...

Good features for price; Low input lag; 60Hz over DisplayPort; Good basic image quality

Poor vertical viewing angles; Fussy OSD and controls; There are cheaper 4K monitors

Well this isn't good.....

There is a huge vertical section on the right side about a 1/4 of the monitor long that isn't working. The rest of the monitor works fine, but that section is an opaque rainbow colored section.

Love the versatility

Can't use it

update. After nearly 9 months to the day of purchase, it developed a white line vertically. Asus support i contacted, filling out form didnt reply to me on day 1. Day 2 I recontacted Asus and was told I need to RMA, no advanced RMA using a credit card hold to obtain new replacement first, gave info...

Not good for 2 inputs, RAPID repl. is a gimmick

The monitor has a problem dealing with 2 inputs - I have my Surface Pro 3 connected to Display Port and Comcast Cable box connected to HDMI. While I'm using the monitor with my computer if the computer goes to sleep the monitor unfortunately switches from Display Port to HDMI on its own even though...
