Asus was among the first manufacturers to jump on the 4K monitor bandwagon, and back in October 2013 it led the charge with the wallet-crushing £3,000 Asus PQ321QE (web ID: 384841).

"4k" seems to be one of the buzzwords that people like throwing around these days. Retailers don't know how to sell it, and consumers don't quite know if they want it. While we've traditionally seen 4k content been harped about with consumer TVs, the term is slowly making its way to the PC market as...
+ Gorgeous high-resolution display; + Incredibly quick refresh rate; + Makes 4k affordable to the average user
- Requires supremely powerful machine to render properly; - OSD controls are awkward to reach
A quality 4K panel, with a great price and some neat extras.
Once upon a time a computer monitor was a separate thing to a television, with different requirements and different inputs. As the switch to flat panel displays alongside the increased media capabilities, and indeed popularity, of home consoles came to be, so the difference between a monitor and a...
Monitor has great picture. I bought 3 DP cables from ME to try and get this monitor to work. The ONLY DP cable that worked from my MARS GTX 760 was a one piece mini DP to full size DP from Startech. I tried a short adapter cable from (F)DP full size to (M)mini DP and it was a complete disaster.
Great picture Looks impressive on desk It does display 4K at 60Hz as advertised The weight of the monitor will hold the desk down I connected Apple TV to HDMI for PiP
It is somewhat problematic to get monitor to work at 4K @ 60Hz. Step 1 - download monitor drivers and install Step 2 - in Windows set monitor to 60Hz Step 3 - using what has to be one of the dumbest set of control buttons; go into the menu then set Input to Display Port 1.2 Step 4 - set your video...
We are very pleased with the new Ultra HD monitors. With the introduction of all these new models there is finally going to be some more choices in term of monitors. We also expect that WQHD models will start dropping in price soon, for example the ASUS PB278Q.
The ASUS PB287Q UHD monitor provides users with an upgrade path for long-term usage. The only downside we feel when using this and any UHD display for that matter is that you'll need a powerful GPU to make full use of it. Otherwise, the image quality and performance of this display is excellent.
Excellent colour reproduction; 60Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution via DisplayPort; Great features like Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture
Many applications don't scale well with 4K resolution; Price
Ultra HD monitors have become much cheaper in a very short space of time, and the £600 Asus PB287Q is sure to entice buyers with its price alone. The PB287Q comes hot on the heels of the AOC U2868PQU and the Dell P2815Q at £600, and both of these monitors had problems.
4K resolution comes to the desktop PC arena with ASUS' PB287Q, and believe me when I say it does make your digital world smaller.
