works at 2560x1440 @ 60hz also!!!

There is a bit of color shift as your viewing angle gets wider, but for a single user sitting in front of it you wont notice it, This is a great product, even at the inception of a burgeoning new standard. There have not been any issues with this thing for me, just set up, calibrate and go!!!

Asus PB287Q display review: Don't expect miracles from this inexpensive 4K display

Until recently, Sharp's $3500 PN-K321 was about as affordable as 4K desktop monitors got. But with the $649 PB287Q, Asus joins a handful of companies making UltraHD desktop monitors affordable to consumers.

Asus PB287Q review

Unless you're a design professional, creative artist, videographer or gaming fanatic, you probably don't need a 4K computer monitor. The same can be said for most luxury items: I'm not a professional fisherman, but I'd love to own a boat.

PB287Q - you just HAVE to keep trying - it does work!

Monitor has great picture. I bought 3 DP cables from ME to try and get this monitor to work. The ONLY DP cable that worked from my MARS GTX 760 was a one piece mini DP to full size DP from Startech. I tried a short adapter cable from (F)DP full size to (M)mini DP and it was a complete disaster.

Great picture Looks impressive on desk It does display 4K at 60Hz as advertised The weight of the monitor will hold the desk down I connected Apple TV to HDMI for PiP

It is somewhat problematic to get monitor to work at 4K @ 60Hz. Step 1 - download monitor drivers and install Step 2 - in Windows set monitor to 60Hz Step 3 - using what has to be one of the dumbest set of control buttons; go into the menu then set Input to Display Port 1.2 Step 4 - set your video...

Let's just start with the obvious. 4K is awesome for professionals. My raw 18-megapixel photos can almost be shown at 100 percent zoom on a 4K monitor, as opposed to a 1080p monitor that just shows a small portion (less than one-fourth).

Great monitor, good colour, brightness and response time

This monitor has great build quality and looks beautiful. The PIP and PBP are really nice to have even if not very useful for me specifically. The colour is very good it is able to reproduce very saturated colours while keeping dull colours line grays very true.

Asus PB287Q

If you've been itching to buy an Ultra High-Definition (UHD) monitor, but have been waiting for prices to drop below the $1,000 mark, your wait is over. The Asus PB287Q ($649) impresses with its sharp UHD image quality, robust colors, and a generous feature set.

Relatively affordable; Outstanding Ultra High-Definition (UHD) image quality; Solid performance and feature set; Fast pixel response

So-so viewing angle performance; Slightly skewed greens; No USB ports

Well this isn't good.....

There is a huge vertical section on the right side about a 1/4 of the monitor long that isn't working. The rest of the monitor works fine, but that section is an opaque rainbow colored section.

Love the versatility

Can't use it

What can I say that doesn't sound fanboy.

ASUS cheesed me off mightily about 10 years ago with their customer support being in the toilet and this is the first product of theirs I have bought in about a decade. I do bear grudges. This monitor has the exact same panel as the Samsung 4K.
