Asus PB278Q monitor

This 27in monitor is blessed with a range of connectors – supporting 2560 x 1440 resolution via HDMI, DisplayPort or Dual-link DVI inputs, along with 1920 x 1080 via a D-sub input. The monitor also features two built-in 3-watt speakers, along with 3.5mm audio line-in and line-out.

Good price; lots of inputs

Contrast could be better

ASUS PB278Q monitor: Because Full HD is just too mainstream!

There are very few monitor companies here that sell panels that go beyond full HD resolution. Considering we are already starting to see 4K monitors abroad, it is high time the 2560×1440 pixel resolution started getting more love in this part of the world.

Asus PB278Q review

The PB278Q is a 27in IPS monitor with a large 2,560x1,440 resolution, and is very similar in specification to Viewsonic's VP2770-LED. It's another highly-adjustable screen with excellent picture quality, and is ideal for working on multiple documents or with complicated applications such as video...

Overpriced for the low quality it is. Specs in no way line up with performance.

Pros: Physical Buttons - All Cables included (HDMI (don't use this with 1440p) DisplayPort, DVI etc - Cons: Extremely expensive. This is a mid-range/bordering on low end monitor. At this price it should be twice as good. - Terrible black levels. Blacks are mid-grey.

Very good monitor

Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440) Samsung LPS panel. It has very good color reproduction out of the box. Once I calibrated it with my spyder 4 elite edition, the color reproduction was superb. Black levels are great, so are white and grey colors.

Well pleased

I like this monitor, it's the best monitor I've owned. I suggest that since an owner's manual isn't included, Best Buy should remove that note from this product's online description. Or change the wording to "Quick-Start Guide" included.

No owner's manual included

Stunning Display, Especially for the Price

I spent several weeks researching WQHD panels and eventually settled on this one. I must say I was skeptical at first due to all the reviews stating that the panel often shipped with dead/stuck pixels.

+ Excellent viewing angles; excellent color; + Sharp text; even small print is very readable; + Excellent adjustable stable stand that works great and looks nice; + Stunning and feels very natural while playing any modern PC game; + Price is fantastic

- Poor sound quality; - No USB Hub

Great Monitor! Great quality!

Extremely dense pixel count and very high resolution. Even the speakers aren't too bad. Lets you hook up HDMI and export the audio through 3.5 jack to your own speaker system. Highly recommend this monitor, even for the price.

This PLS monitor has an excellent stand and screen

The ASUS PB278Q is a 27-inch computer monitor with a high-end panel and few unnecessary frills. It's targeted at professionals - who want its factory-preset colour accuracy and wide-gamut PLS panel - and gamers - who want its low latency and super-detailed 2560x1440 pixel resolution.

Excellent picture quality pre- and post-calibration; Excellent adjustability; Integrated speaker

Dynamic contrast isn't useful; Menu controls aren't great; Occasional backlight flicker

Amazing!!!

Amazing monitor. I play at max resolution using the display port and have no issues with screen tearing or dead pixels. After playing at these resolutions I will never go back!! I picked it up on sale and it was worth every penny!!

Amazing color; I bought this for gaming and was blown away with the detail while gaming; My roommate played on it one day and went out and bought one the next day; Big upgrade from my old 22 Comes with all cables Multiple inputs for video Audio through the monitor is as expected for speakers built...

To get the full detail you need to use the display port cable; This means you need a decent video card to run it which can get pricey depending on what you want; You may even need to buy a display port adapter for video cards with a mini display port Have to set up the colors initially.
