Asus CG32UQ Review

The Asus CG32UQ serves up solid quality, decent HDR and plenty of features – but this console-focused display isn't big enough for the living room

Great core image quality, with huge contrast; Decent mid-range HDR options; Smart, feature-packed physical design; RGB LEDs add ambient lighting;

Too small for the living room; Expensive when compared to alternatives; Disappointing 60Hz AMD FreeSync;

Poorly Designed, Bad Software, littered with bugs

- The OS is incredibly buggy and slow - the speakers will randomly blast white noise at full volume with no way to stop it without pulling the plug. (Even if you have a headset in the audio jack) - HDR only has 2 settings that doesn’t explain what they do - Has a non removable film grain on the screen - no easy way to update firmware - Instant on never works - takes 30 seconds to turn on - has a bug that will only display content in 1:1 scale - FPS counter doesn’t work - Factory Picture quality is poor - Always resets to race mode The HDR is inaccurate

Asus CG32UQ review

The Asus CG32UQ has a smart design, decent HDR, a 4K resolution and great image quality, including huge contrast. It has impressive speakers, and even packs in some RGB LEDs. However, its FreeSync implementation could be better, and its 32-inch size means it’s not suitable for larger living rooms.

Fantastic contrast and good colors; Powerful speakers; Decent HDR options;

Not large enough for living rooms; AMD FreeSync performance is only middling
