Astro Gaming A50 Wireless + Base Station review

Overall then, we had a great experience with the Astro A50 Wireless + Base Station. Everything about this gaming audio system just screams premium - well, everything but the cloth ear cushions and headband cushion (can be upgraded to synthetic leather at an extra cost) - and we genuinely were...

Awesome sound quality

I bought these as a replacement for a wired headset for my xbox. Installation was easy enough with the supplied optical and micro usb cables. Initial charge time for the headset was around 7 hours to fully charged.

Astro A50 Wireless Gaming Headset

Astro Gaming makes some of the best Dolby surround-sound headphones on the market - but unlike other big names in the field, it doesn't produce new cans often. The A40 headset ( OXM score: 9.0) came out in 2008; their slightly cheaper offering, the A30 ( OXM score: 8.5), hit shelves in 2010.

+ Finally! An Astro headset that's almost completely free of cords, + Warm, buttery audio; clear Xbox Live chat; very good battery life

? So; who's betting on 2016 for an Astro A60 headset

We generally enjoyed the virtual surround sound prowess of Astro Gaming's A50 wireless headset when we reviewed it back in July, but you'll recall it had one especially glaring issue: the audio would frequently cut out.

Astro A50 Wireless gaming headset review

Astro has a history of delivering some of the best gaming headsets on the market, and while they may not always be the most cost-effective, that doesn't mean they're not worth the cash if you have some to spare.

Astro A50 Headset Review

Nearly every PC accessory manufacturer out there now has some kind of sound product on the market. Corsair's got speakers and headsets, while companies that traditionally have made input devices, like Logitech and Razer, have been selling audio stuff for years.

Astro A50 Gaming Headset review

Nothing enhances the gaming experience like a nice headset. Surround sound creates an immersive experience, and turns the footsteps of a foe into a dead giveaway of his location. Single player campaigns become journeys you won't want to back out of.
