About time Apple made a New trackapd

Trackapd works great, except for 2 finger page back and forward issues, not all the time, and reboot fixes for a while. Other than that it is a great additon to your Mac.

Accurate Tracking; Comfortable Design; Fast Response; Glides Smoothly; Great Features; Works On Any Surface

Has Issues with 2 finger paging after awhile

Apple Magic Trackpad 2

But there's that price tag. At $130 it's not quite an impulse buy, although its a bit easier to stomach as a $50 upgrade option when buying a new iMac. If you currently use the Magic Trackpad on a daily basis, you're probably better served to keep doing so-unless you really can't stand dealing with...

Attractive, minimalist design; Larger active surface area than the previous model; Quick setup; Supports Force Click and multitouch gestures; Internal rechargeable battery; Includes Lightning charging cable

Expensive; Requires El Capitan and Bluetooth 4.0 to work

Better than ever

Bought one as a gift for my wife who had been using her 20-year old Apple Keyboard and mouse. I suggested that she try my Apple extended keyboard and Magic Trackpad (1) hat I had been using for a while. Needless to say, she loved them &now she has the BT versions of both. Sh loves them even more!

Review: Apple Magic Trackpad 2

It's been five years since Apple decided to bring the trackpad from its laptops to the desktop, and now we have a sequel. What's changed, and is this accessory worth having in your life

Brings the button-less trackpad concept to more than just new Macs; Large surface area; Definable button depth; Silent mode is very cool; Pairs upon plugging in with modern Macs; No more replaceable batteries; Charges through a Lightning cable; and there's a spare one in the box; Can work over wired...

Very expensive; Won't pair easily with anything not running Mac OS X 10.10 and lower; Not enough makes use of the force touch mechanism

Apple Magic Trackpad 2 MJ2R2ZA/A review

Charging is easy, the ditching of the batteries welcomed, and the overall experience a good one.

Bigger surface area; Easy to setup; Long battery life; Comes with Lightning cable in the box for charging

If you aren't using Force Click the extra size isn't hugely noticeable over the previous model

Fine

This is a fine computer for what I do on a home computer. Choosing an optional mouse, which I replaced with my trackball, delayed delivery of the product and the delay time was not accurate on the ordering page.

Put away the mouse

That's right. Put away the mouse! Forget about "ergonomic comfort". The Trackpad is just so easy to use! I backed my mouse into a corner of my desk, and only let it out once in a while.
