I was skeptical when I got my first rechargeable mouse that I would need to replace it within a year or two and looking at the price, I thought that was going to be expensive and I would instead purchase a wired mouse to replace when it died. However, Apple did an amazing job. So much that when it finally was struggling to keep a day worth of charge after 7 years, I immediately bought another Apple Magic Mouse. The only issue I found was given I was going to use it on my older iMac 27 (late 2015) was the need to use another cord to charge the mouse from the older Mac using the older USB 2 connector. Still works brilliantly.
