Not advertised as a 2017 model

It's a great computer to be sure. What was not advertised anywhere on the site was he fact that although this was a brand new computer (not used) it was a 2017 model. If I had known, I would have picked another model.

I love it way too much... I think I have a problem.

Oh yes... this is very good... but totally not worth the HUGE price tag. I do however enjoy working on it! 5 starts for just awesome coolness, despite Apple's unbelievable ability to make me buy their sh*t even though its not as good as its windows counterparts.

I absolutely LOVE this laptop! It's fast, it's lightweight and totally portable, and it's beautiful. I had a 17 inch HP PC before and I love this SO much more. The screen quality doesn't even compare, the battery life is incredible too, I can almost make it through an 8 hour shift with out it...

Astonishing Performance

I'm constantly astonished at the performance of this MacBook. I import 15Gb of data into a localhost MySQL database multiple times a day and it takes less time to do so on this i5 MacBook than it does on the Alienware 17 R4 I purchased earlier in the year from JB Hi-Fi.

Good, but not GREAT!

I'm coming from 20 years of working in a Windows world. Its been a relatively easy switch and pleased with the experience overall. The form factor, performance and interface have all been great.

If you're looking for the best all-around MacBook in the 2016 lineup, you should definitely get the one that has an updated Retina screen, fast Intel Core i chip, plenty of ports, and a great keyboard. The problem? This laptop doesn't exist .

A beautiful yet compromised laptop

I actually bought a 2017 Macbook Pro 13" without the TB, but it is basically the same computer as the 2016 version besides the slight battery increase and processor bump. The MBP 13" is a beautifully constructed thin and light high end computer.

Build quality; screen; speakers; thinness; OSX; USB C/Thunderbolt; touch pad

Price; no Magsafe; limited ports; keyboard; GPU; limited HD for entry; no SD

Apple 13″ MacBook Pro MPXT2LL/A, Retina Display, Newest Version

Later in the fall, we're looking at a possible launch of the 'iPhone 8', which may coincide with the 10th anniversary celebrations, and it looks like a game-changer that will keep most of us excited. In the meantime, the folks at Cupertino, CA haven't had…

Excellent battery life; Thin and light weight; Nice Retina display; Relatively affordable

Middling connectivity, only two USB-C ports; Only 256GB storage, though upgradable
