I actually bought a 2017 Macbook Pro 13" without the TB, but it is basically the same computer as the 2016 version besides the slight battery increase and processor bump. The MBP 13" is a beautifully constructed thin and light high end computer.
Build quality; screen; speakers; thinness; OSX; USB C/Thunderbolt; touch pad
Price; no Magsafe; limited ports; keyboard; GPU; limited HD for entry; no SD
Later in the fall, we're looking at a possible launch of the 'iPhone 8', which may coincide with the 10th anniversary celebrations, and it looks like a game-changer that will keep most of us excited. In the meantime, the folks at Cupertino, CA haven't had…
Excellent battery life; Thin and light weight; Nice Retina display; Relatively affordable
Middling connectivity, only two USB-C ports; Only 256GB storage, though upgradable

While it doesn't look any different than the first Touch Bar MacBook Pro but the gains are plain to see with the new 8th-gen processors. This is the first recent Apple laptop that we can firmly say can hold a candle to the larger 15in version. The Touch Bar is still a bit unnecessary, but you have to buy the laptop with it to get the new chips. Pesky Apple. It's also very expensive, but with USB-C becoming more mainstream, this is a purchase that should last you several years.
Lightweight and compact; Relatively large battery life; Excellent build quality
Ridiculously overpriced; Lack of ports; Uses out-of-date CPU technology; Overheating; Fan noise; Can not run certain applications Non-upgradable features
Use the product daily for school and personal use
I'm constantly astonished at the performance of this MacBook. I import 15Gb of data into a localhost MySQL database multiple times a day and it takes less time to do so on this i5 MacBook than it does on the Alienware 17 R4 I purchased earlier in the year from JB Hi-Fi.
Oh yes... this is very good... but totally not worth the HUGE price tag. I do however enjoy working on it! 5 starts for just awesome coolness, despite Apple's unbelievable ability to make me buy their sh*t even though its not as good as its windows counterparts.
I absolutely LOVE this laptop! It's fast, it's lightweight and totally portable, and it's beautiful. I had a 17 inch HP PC before and I love this SO much more. The screen quality doesn't even compare, the battery life is incredible too, I can almost make it through an 8 hour shift with out it...
