Some sacrifices for a high price, No ProMotion, No telephoto camera, A fast screen is key: While the iPhone 14 Plus’s screen is bigger, it still lacks some of the skills of the Pro models. There’s no ProMotion for fast refresh rate, for example, which feels a bit of a miss for a phone of this price.

For the first time, Apple has produced a phone with its largest screen (6.7 inches) but without the extra cost of a Pro model.

The iPhone 14 Plus is Apple’s new super-sized smartphone that takes what was good about the base model 14 , including its more repair-friendly design, and adds a much bigger screen. The 6.7in display provides much more space for watching video, reading messages or simply having bigger text.

Pros: easier and cheaper to repair, better cameras, water resistant, Face ID, very long battery life, good performance, big screen, long software support.

Cons: no USB-C, need your own charger, difficult to use one-handed, no telephoto camera, screen slower than competition and 14 Pro.

XXL alternative. The iPhone 14 Plus is Apple's first non-Pro 6.7-inch smartphone. Compared to the iPhone 14, the Plus version also features a significantly bigger battery, which nets it record numbers in our battery life tests.
