Love this dashcam. Had it for a month now. First one was faulty as the parking mode was continuously restarting the cam. Uniden was very helpful and so was JB HIFI in replacing the unit within the first week of purchase. This dashcam does everything as described. Easy to install. The 3M tape securely holds both cameras in place Clear HD videos front and back cam. Day and night recordings are impressive. Parking mode works for a couple of days if car not driven. Turned off the extra bells and whistles as they can be annoyingly inaccurate. However, left the speeding cameras warnings on. App works really well and connects to cam every time. However can be consume your phone battery if running in the background to inclue GPS location when driving. Downloading footage to phone is a breeze. A 3 minutes HD movie takes about 40seconds to download. Conclusion: reliable on road peace of mind.

Well once you've charged it properly and done the new firmware update it works okay. It took over 5 hours to charge before it would even turn on. I would recommend you turn off the forward collision alarm and lane lane departure warning as it triggers quite easily for the wrong reasons and becomes very annoying. I would also recommend you do the firmware update otherwise you'll find the some of your preferred viewing options defaulting.

First of all, the GPS module is separate and it sits above the main unit, so there is a separate cable from the module to the unit. Plus another cable for the rear camera. So it's a hassle to install plus the thick cables are hard to tuck them in. Secondly, the GPS fails to connect 99% of the time, so when it fails the speed also not shown in the camera, the red light traffic camera positions are also not shown, thus no warnings. Thirdly, I have my suspicion the firmware is not upgradable, there's nothing on their website regarding firmware updates. So if something goes wrong, we can't reinstall the firmware. The videos maybe good enough but it's just too many problems. I returned it and buy Mivue860 instead

I purchased the uniden igo cam 70r about 3 weeks ago now and i think its awesome It was really easy to insatall and the instructions are easy to read and understand The reason i bought this model is for the feature that you can retrieve the footage straight to your smart phone and no need for pc I think the only thing is it dosent come with an sd card but apart from that awesome dash cam highly recommend

I bought this dash cam a few weeks ago and I’m pretty satisfied with it’s performance for the price I paid. The alert features are all pretty much unusable but that wasn’t a big reason why I choose this model. The cameras are both very clear and the Android app works perfectly for me, although I’m not so sure that it works so well on iPhones? Functions well as a reversing camera as well when need be by switching the screen view to the rear camera. It also offers a PIP view of both cameras simultaneously. Very impressed so far and hope to get a couple of years use out of it at least!
