Excellent lens

A sharp, well built lens; much better than the one it replaces. I use this lens on a Canon 6D and I am extremely happy with its performance.

Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD Lens for Nikon - BRAND NEW review

Bought it used, and found it's grey market. But firmware updated to be used in new Canon cameras.Need some micro adjustment for AF, and that's quite easy. Performance is quite consistent and stable, much better than the crop 16-300mm. On full frame, the IQ is very satisfied.

Long range, light.

Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD Lens for Nikon - BRAND NEW review

My most handy walk-around lens for my A99. Å day-light lens. Fast enough.

Fantastic range. Light and small. Sharp enough.

Some vignetting. Corner sharpness wide open.

Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD lens

Announced at the CP+ show in Japan in February, the Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD (Model A010E) lens initially went on sale late in June. Replacing the previous model (A20), the new lens is smaller and lighter, thanks to a new mechanical design with a multi-stack-cam layout that takes up less...

Nice lens

This is the first Tamron lens I have bought so there is always that hesitation. I have the Canon 28-300mm which I do use a lot but it is so heavy it is not always convenient. I was looking for a decent walk around lens that was light weight and compact to use for more casual shooting.

Really Nice Lens

I have the 28-300 Canon L. I am a amateur so build quality is not of huge importance even though the tamrons is good.Image quality is very close to the same as far as I can tell. Weight and size are a huge advantage.

Cost; Ergonomics; Image Quality Super Zoom; Iq As Good As My 24-105l; Size; Weight

Sharp stabilized walk around lens

This lens is lighter and cheaper than the alternatives and you don't compromise much in quality. You _can_ take tack-sharp shots under the right conditions. A bit soft at 300 but really really impressed with the 28 to 200 range. Can you get a better 28 Yes Can you get a better 200

Good value for money

Good value for money. As sharp as the original similar canon lens an a fraction of its weight along with a 4 year warranty!
