Sony has shown us the first 4K camcorder for the consumer – the Sony FDR-AX100E. It's aimed at those looking to future-proof videos as well as take full advantage of their new pricey 4K sets. Note: This is not a full review but a preview based on a short amount of hands-on time with the product.

Last Christmas I bought the camera on Christmas discount sales. I had half a year planned to buy the camera so was very happy when it was on sale. I traveled to India with the camera to record a documentary. The camera worked perfectly and kept even though I was out on numerous adventures.

In the next updates could improve the frames per second in 4k and take it to 60 fps Sound 5.1 is also necessary to be able to use when recording in 4K, could it be improved too

I bought this camcorder to record videos at church, but I also am using it for videos of my grandchildren. After briefly reading the literature, it is easy and very intuitive to use. It has a great lens and the results are terrific!
