Great consumer Camera, Good Secondary Pro Camera

Very good Video when shooting at f2.8 in low light. I'm a pro videographer and this is my secondary camera. When using in low light do not use the zoom function! use your body to move closer to your subject, always stay at F2.8 in low light, the more you use zoom in low light the higher your f-stops...

XAVC S 4K and HD are amazing. ND filters are very helpful (ND2 and ND3 affect color slightly). Manual Control buttons are well designed. EVF is great. Monitor is very high quality. Power consumption is improved (battery time is very good).

Stunning picture quality with a few gotchas

I purchased the Sony FDR-AX100 to shoot theatre productions for DVD and Blu-ray. I already use a variety of cameras including the Sony HDR-AX2000.

The picture quality in 4k is amazing; Much better than a prosumer camera

Great picture for indoor stage.

Have a PJ430 but the picture was always grainy inside with warm house lighting. The Cowboy Church likes that environment so I Bought the FDR-AX100 Even though the ratings were a little gloomy; and, I was going to use the PJ430 for extra shots...

Sony FDR-AX100 Review

While the Sony FDR-AX100 is probably not going to be the first choice for professional shooters, they'd be foolish to rule it out, especially if they want to travel (relatively) light and still get great video.

Incredible 4K video; High-quality still photos; Wi-Fi remote control; Excellent build quality; manageable size

Main control ring not as precise; Sun washes out LCD; Complicated onscreen info; Touchscreen can be unresponsive

When it was announced, the AX100 was a one-of-a-kind product. In a few ways, it still is. However, its most interesting new trick can be accomplished by less expensive, more flexible devices.

A few drops of water destroyed the camera

I had this camera since it first went to sell. Picture quality is second to none, however, for me it has one major flaw which ruined all its great qualities. Despite it being an outdoor camera it's not even splash proof. A strong rain or making a video on a speed boat is going to ruin it.

Sony FDR-AX100E: We go hands-on with the 4K HandyCam that could change TV forever

Sony has been at the forefront of prosumer camcorders for a while. We've known many a lower-budget TV show to use a three-chip VX1000 in the past and, more recently, Full HD and, even, 4K equivalents.

Sony FDR-AX100/B 4K Video Camera with 3.5-Inch LCD

A compact camcorder offering high quality at a reasonable price is hard to find, but the AX100 delivers. The 1 CMOS sensor is larger than most in cameras of this size along with a prosumer interface many Sony users are familiar with.

Great Store with Super fast shipping. LOVE the Sony AX100

Pros: Solid Built Great pro-level features Video quality is beyond amazing Cons: Like most cameras it hunts for focus in certain low light conditions. The location of the focus assist button is next to impossible to reach while recording. Whoever designed that location should be fired.
