Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens - Brand New review

The Sony E 10-20mm f4 G PZ is a compelling lens taking you from mild to ultra-wide coverage with decent quality throughout and a motorised zoom that feels a World apart from the ubiquitous and disappointing 16-50 PZ.

Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 isn’t a huge upgrade on the iPhone 13, yet it still is a great phone with a top camera, good battery life and all the iOS benefits.

Clever safety features, Very good battery life, Reliable camera, Fun colours, You’ve got an ageing iPhone: If you’re on an iPhone 11 or older, then the changes here will make a notable difference.

Stuck on a 60Hz display, Minimal differences to the iPhone 13, You’ve got an iPhone 13: The changes from Apple’s previous phone aren’t enough to warrant an upgrade this year.

Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens - Brand New review

“The iPhone 14 isn't a huge upgrade compared to its predecessor. But with a great design, screen, performance, and cameras, that's far from a bad thing at all.”

Comfortable, high-end build, OLED screen looks fantastic, A15 chip performs great, Good camera upgrades, Dependable battery life, Helpful safety features

60Hz display, No telephoto camera, eSIM might be a pain for some

Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens - Brand New review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens - Brand New review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

Sony E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens - Brand New review

Apple's latest non-Pro iPhone is superb - it's just that it's strikingly similar to last year's effort.

Still an incredible smartphone, Brilliant battery life gets a bit better, Excellent camera system gets a bit better

Last year’s Pro hardware, Wireless charging slow by modern standards, No USB-C; it’s now well overdue

Sony E PZ 10-20mm F4 G Review

The Sony E PZ 10-20mm F4 G ($749.99) is a new entry in Sony's lineup that supplements one of the longest-running E-mount lenses, the $900 E 10-18mm F4 zoom from a decade ago. The E 10-20mm boasts new optics and a more modern polycarbonate barrel with a dust- and splash-resistant construction. It also features Power Zoom handling for vlogs and videos. The new lens is a good match for the slim ZV-E10 and an excellent choice if you often present directly to a camera, though we continue to recommend the slightly pricier Tamron 11-20mm F2.8 ($829) for photographers.Made for Hybrid Creators The decade since the release of the E 10-18mm F4 OSS has been eventful for Sony's camera system. The company has released many full-frame FE lenses and cameras, plus it developed exotic optical elements and speedy linear focus motors. The E PZ 10-20mm F4 G incorporates many of these innovations to meet its slim 2.4-by-2.4-inch (HD) and 6.2-ounce design. It doesn't make any optical concessions either;...

The Sony E PZ 10-20mm F4 G is a slim, video-first power zoom lens for crop-sensor E-mount mirrorless cameras, but a lack of stabilization means vloggers likely need to add a gimbal to their setup.

Slim, light build ideal for use on gimbals; Power zoom control for video; Dust- and moisture-resistant construction; Quick, quiet linear autofocus; Minimal focus breathing

Omits optical stabilization; No on-lens aperture control; Some ghosting against strong backlight; Mushy sunstars
