Great lens. Very good price, and nice build quality. The lens is quite sharp with good colour reproduction. The only fault is a large amount of barrel distortion, but it's something to live with as it's somewhat correctable.

Wonderfully sharp lens. Helps in creating completely different perspective in making architecture pictures and pictures with cloudy skies. The 270 degree aperture ring with distances marked is useful for manual focus. Would have loved to see some electronics to control aperture.
Easy to use - it's all manual, both aperture and distance. Gives these really dramatic picture, that includes..., so good for interior photography and the storytelling pics - lots of elements. As it is a F2.8 my aim is to use for event photography (concerts etc.).
Ease of Use; Nice Bokeh
Difficult to Clean; Manual Focus
Although this basic lens may not be for everyone, those looking for an ultra-wide lens, which is capable of delivering excellent quality when used within its limitations can't go far wrong with this 14mm from Samyang.
Extremely inexpensive; Excellent sharpness in the centre at f/2.8 and across the frame when stopped down to f/5.6 or beyond; Good build; Relatively lightweight; Extremely low CA levels
Wavy distortion; Falloff of illumination towards the corners; No hyperfocal scale or hard infinity stop
