They’re not a giant leap for Samsung, but the Galaxy Buds Plus improve on their predecessors in almost every way
Excellent Android and iOS app integration; Very comfortable; Impressive battery life;
Only IPX2 rated; No active noise-cancelling;
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus offer better sound quality and an extended battery life compared to last year's Samsung Galaxy Buds, but they're still missing advanced audio codec support and full-on noise cancellation.
Dual-driver design; 11 hour built-in battery life; iOS compatible
Limited audio codec support; Only IPX2 splash resistant; No noise cancellation
Samsung's wire-free Galaxy Buds earphones deliver fantastic audio performance for a reasonable price, which is enough to overcome some dubious marketing claims.
Excellent audio performance with rich, full bass and bright, well-defined highs; Easy to operate; Solid mic intelligibility in quiet spaces.
Poor mic intelligibility in loud scenarios; So-so charging case battery life; Not waterproof.
Packed with features and capable of inoffensive sound, but the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ are not the most dynamic or detailed performers
Lightweight design; Good battery life; iOS and Android compatible
Sound flat and uninteresting; Lack dynamics and detail
With a whopping 11 hours of playtime on the earbuds alone, the Galaxy Buds+ are some of the best true wireless headphones around - whether you use a Samsung phone or not
“With upgraded audio and a continued dedication to comfort and ease of use, Samsung has done a good deal more to add to the quality of its true wireless buds.”
11 hours of battery life; Comfortable; lightweight design; Additional accessories for ideal fit; Stellar app for customization
Charging case carries only one recharge
Samsung’s original Galaxy Buds were decent true wireless earbuds: they offered impressive battery life, wireless charging, and a lightweight, comfortable fit. But sound quality was merely okay, and their built-in mics were awful when it came to voice calls.
11-hour battery life sets a new standard; Lightweight; comfortable fit and subtle design; Improved mics for voice calls
No active noise cancellation; Weaker water and sweat resistance than the competition; Can’t pair to two devices simultaneously
