By far the best compact that I have used, picture quality A1, and settings to compare with anything that I have seen.

The only camera kit I ever regretted buying, just didn't deliver the results for me. Portrait photography was uninspiring with this. The only good lens was the 45mm f1.8.

Fantastic Camera!

Really loving this camera so far, high end photos and video from this tiny little thing! Kit lens isn't bad, comes with a macro feature which is great, and also electronic zoom for smooth video. All in all a great little camera!

Olympus OM-D E-M5 review

Micro Four Thirds cameras are coming fast and furious, and getting better and more technically impressive all the time. For its latest offering, however, Olympus looked backward for inspiration rather than forward. The OM-D E-M5's design harkens back to the 1970's, to Olympus' old OM-1 film SLR.

Excellent image and video quality; Blistering performance; Extremely attractive

Expensive for a Micro Four Thirds camera; Smaller sensor than most $1,000-plus cameras

Olympus OM-D E-M5 Review: A Classic Revived

If I were in the market for a mirrorless, interchangeable lens compact digital and was not wedded to any particular manufacturer or system, the E-M5 would probably be it. Of all the other cameras in this class that I've already reviewed, I like this one the best.

Good images and video; DSLR-like feature set; Compact; stylish form factor

Costly body-only configuration; grip and lenses add expense; A 2x crop factor doesn't lend itself to wide angle shooting

Triumph of the Form Factor

SLR lovers never had it this good. The entire camera scene seems to have exploded in the past 3-4 years and getting your hands on a "mean" machine is no longer as difficult as it used to be .

Love the E-M5

The E-M5 is a great camera, fast to focus, easy to use. Battery life is not as good as I would like about 200 shots to a recharge. Oly quality through and through.

Easy to use; Compact; Build quality; Screen size

Good featured camera body

I bought this camera with a portrait 45mm f1.8 lens before the arrival of my baby. This combo is perfect for portrait photography. This camera comes with a lot of setting options that can be very helpful after you get use to it. I personally like the vintage look of this camera.

Lot of setting options; compact; lite and looks great

Little expensive compared to other entry level SLRs from Canon and Nikon
