Nikon D7000 DSLR camera

The D7000 is an outstanding release by Nikon. This camera is a real treat for the enthusiast photographer but can work equally well as a back up body for professionals. You do have to master its features to get the best out of it though – refining the results through trial and error – to appreciate...

Nikon D7000 - Superb Enthusiast's Camera

This is an excellent camera, packing a great deal into a reasonable price. It's designed for an experienced photographer, rather than a beginner, and is therefore quite complicated to set up initially - I recommend one of the separate user guide, as the one provided by Nikon isn't particularly...

Comfortable; Superb Build; Versatile; Weather Proof

Not excellent, but not too bad either

It is not a bad camera, apart from its focusing system, which is slow and unreliable. I have missed many opportunities to take pictures just because even after >15 shots I could not find a single one that was properly focused on the subject.

"Fantastic Update to the D90"

I've had my Nikon D7000 for about 2 weeks now and absolutely love it! I bought it from Jessops on their 0% finance deal because I was impatient! The D7000 is so easy to use. My previous DSLR was a Nikon D60 but I was able to take the camera out the box and know how to use it straight away.

Very easy to use; variety of modes to choose from & not heavy

Still working out how to change a few settings but I haven't read the manual yet

First, let me say that for the last (almost) two years I have been using the Nikon D700, and occasionally the D300s and D90 as a backup. When I saw the specs and reviews for the D7000 I knew I had to try it out -- and guess what -- I haven't used my D700 at all since getting my D7000...

Easy to use; Has all the bells and whistles; Great image quality; Good user interface

No swivel screen; No full time live view

I have been intending to graduate to a D7000 for more than two years so its arrival was something special that quickly led to considerable concern over how much there is to learn about this camera.

It almost feels like an iso-less camera and i use up to 1600 without a second thought - in a pinch I would go higher. The controls are set out perfectly and I love the U1 and U2 scene modes.

Its a fantastic camera with great build quality, picture quality and features; The jpgs straight out the camera are really good and the raw files allow for lots of manipulation on the pc.
