I love this camera, and it is the third Coolpix I have owned. I used to have a big expensive camera and very expensive lens for business purposes to capture a whole room view, and this camera can do what my $1,000 wide angle lens did.

I was most disappointed. After falling in love with the features of this camera, I found an awesome price, and bought it with much anticipation. I got it home, took 12 pictures, turned it off, to find the flash would not retract. I read other reviews of hardware failures, and decided to return it.

Great camera. I bought this for my son. He loves it and uses it for many HD movies. It takes great pictures and has the speed of a Digital SLR camera.

Auto focus either center or area is very slow. When in largest photo, takes a second or two before you can take another photo (long store time). Auto smile feature seems to work very well.

The camera is great, the view finder is very clear and the picture quality is excellent on most occasions, there are a few blurry pictures but this is due to the settings I guess, the only bad points I can think of are the battery and SD card cover can easily become undone as the lock clip is easily

bought as a back-up for use in well lit action situations, I assumed that Nikons pedigree would stand me in good stead. Boy was I wrong! Even in bright sunlight, fast action was blurredand shutter lag made the sports mode un-usable.
