Exquisite camera

This is an Ideal for capturing everyday moments, this digital compact camera. I am very excited; it came loaded with a plethora of functions to play with. The Easy Auto Mode automatically selects the right settings based on the shooting environment to give me the best shot.

Nikon Coolpix P520: An all-around very good package

More point-and-shoot than dSLR in terms of features and performance than some competing high-end megazooms, the Nikon Coolpix P520 is a very good camera for those after a big zoom range, better control over results, and fine picture quality.

Give the Nikon Coolpix P520 plenty of light and it can turn out some excellent photos throughout its 42x zoom range; It has a lot of shooting options for those who like to fiddle with settings or straight snapshooters; a nice flip-out rotating LCD; and built-in GPS and support for Nikon's Wi-Fi...

Its autofocus system is slow when the lens is zoomed in, especially when compared with other models in its class; battery life is short; and the camera feels cheaply constructed

Small Wonder

The best thing about this camera is it's versatility. It does a lot of things well: Zoom range is amaizing, all you could want. The ability to go completely Manual is also welcome. It handles low light without too much noise.

Easy To Use; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; Good in Low Light; Great Zoom; Large Clear LCD

Short Battery Life; Slow focus

Nikon coolpix P520

I have used this camera for about 3 weeks, the camera is real easy to use right out of the box. I have taken some night time pictures with good result. I would recommend a good tripod for night time shooting as a steadier platform. The zoom feature is great !

Perfect for nonprofessional photography

I ordered it 3days before going to Jim Corbett and to my surprise it came to me in just 2 days. Was too happy to get it so early but it was just the beginning of surprises. As I started taking the pic I realised that it had a extra ordinary zoom function and it gave such clear pictures of far placed...

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; Tilt /Swivel LCD

Poor In Low Light

The Nikon Coolpix P520 is going to offer a 42X optical zoom lens with a maximum telephoto setting of 1000mm. This is a very impressive feature that you aren't going to find on a lot of cameras. There are some aspects of the that aren't able to match its other high-end features, though.

Nikon Coolpix P520

Love the camera - the only issues is that it takes way to long to snap a picture other than that it is great. The zoom is amazing as well as the stabilization features

Zoom Stabilization

Takes too long when you snap a picture for the picture to actually take

Nikon Coolpix P520 review: All-around very good megazoom

Editors' note: Several of the design, features, and shooting options are identical between the Nikon Coolpix P520 and the Coolpix P510 we reviewed earlier, so readers of the earlier review may experience some deja vu when reading the same sections below.

More point-and-shoot than dSLR in terms of features and performance than some competing high-end megazooms, the Nikon Coolpix P520 is a very good camera for those after a big zoom range, better control over results, and fine picture quality.

Its autofocus system is slow when the lens is zoomed in, especially when compared with other models in its class; battery life is short; and the camera feels cheaply constructed.
