The Nikon COOLPIX P520 is a super-zoom camera with a 42x stabilised range and an 18.1 Megapixel sensor. Launched in January 2013, it replaces the COOLPIX P510, which remains in the Nikon product line-up.

Competition in the bridge camera market at the moment is pretty fierce. It's one of the only growing segments in the compact camera market, as users look for something much more advanced than their phone, especially in regards to zoom functionality.

The huge zoom range makes this a great bridge camera for the travelling photographer; Autofocusing, including macro focusing, is accurate, making it possible to photograph subjects from flowers to far-away wildlife well

With no raw capture available; flexibility in post-processing is limited; especially when it comes to removing those filters that seemed like a good idea at the time

I have used this camera for about 3 weeks, the camera is real easy to use right out of the box. I have taken some night time pictures with good result. I would recommend a good tripod for night time shooting as a steadier platform. The zoom feature is great !

The camera is very easy to use and brings in great light indoors and can zoom in like a champion! The delivery time was shorter than expected and I am very happy with this purchase.

Great Product at a great price. Would highly recommend additional lens however camera works great and meets all expectations.

I loved the speed and hand balance of the P520. However, when photographing, the monitor does not show the view from through the lens and this had to be constantly accounted for otherwise I lost the front or back of what I was shooting.
