Good performing NAS for the office. Also works well as a Plex server, transcoding well without the stuttering found on lesser-powered servers.

Great product, very easy to setup and run, all my data is now transferred over and being backed up. Easy access away from home as well.
These ReadyNAS units always throw me off my game when I consistently see the latest Intel platforms roll through on QNAP, Synology and ASUSTOR appliances. When I see a NAS using an ARM Cortex A15, I just immediately think it's going to be slow or won't be able to handle the workloads.
Wonderful and easy to setup the cloud portion but the lack of documentation as to how to install the drives into the trays is crazy. I almost got one drive completely stuck on a slight angle and took a while to get it out and realign it into the tray. The tray itself is extremely flimsy plastic.
It has been a while since we singly discussed a Netgear NAS. This time we are taking a look at the ReadyNAS 214, a model which supports up to four drives, based on a quad-core processor from Annapurna. The design of the ReadyNAS is a familiar one. We have seen this case before from Netgear.
