The better Bargain

Comparing this headset 540 vs the 340, and found the build quality of the 540 was significantly better. The USB plug doesn't look like it will fall apart anytime soon. I found that frustrating about the 340. Also more quick and easy features, such as adjusting volume and turning mic on or off.

Not the best option for my use case

I purchased this headset for use when working remotely as facilitate a lot of conference calls using VOIP technology. I need a wired version when traveling so that I do not have to worry about charging the headset. This particular headset did not perform well. The sound quality was poor.

sound a good when used with Skype for Business

sound is good when used with Skype for Business, but mic is nowhere close to the quality of my Plantronics Savi 7xxx. however the most disappointing part is the my Avaya OneX softphone wont recognize it.

Nice Audio with Plug and Play Simplicity

I started doing webinars recently and wanted a USB over-ear headset with boom mic. This one fits the bits very nicely. There are not as many USB types of this headset on the shelf and I did not want to pay the high price for gaming headsets just because they're for gaming.

Logitech H540 has a fatal design flaw

The Logitech H540 will fail (short out) at the red mute indicator LED mounted inline on the USB cable. First it looks as if you might have not muted the microphone because you will find the red LED is off. Then you might notice that red LED starts to flicker.

Looks nice until you touch it Stereo sound quality is reasonable

Design flaw in the SUPER STIFF cable with mounted mute indicator LED will cause the headset to short out the USB connection and eventually the internal connection at the mute LED will fail causing the H540 to stop functioning.

Great headset for short periods

When I got these I was happy with the sound quality, accuracy of the mic and it's positioning and the functionality of the volume and mute controls. After a few days of use, the cushion design began to cause discomfort and I found myself constantly adjusting the position of the headphones just to...

Overall I am very pleased with those headphones. They have a good microphone and the sound of the speakers is good but not great. They are comfortable and can be worn for many hours. Although, the plastic seems cheap, the design is good with the swivel ear pads and the retractable microphone.

Good microphne and comfortable

Cheap plastic construction; You need to handle them with care because they seem like they would break easily; The speakers have a good sound quality but they lack on the lower spectrum

Logitech h540 sub headset

My son thinks they are good, they could do with a little more support around the ears.
