Leica TL review
The TL may be one of Leica’s more affordable cameras, but it’s competing with other manufacturers’ models that offer a lot more for a lot less. If you’re hunting for the best specs and performance for your dollar, you’d be much better off with a Fujifilm, Sony, Olympus or Panasonic mirrorless camera. But if we put heart before head for a moment, it’s hard to ignore the TL’s stylishness – both the physical design and the touchscreen UI are decidedly high-concept, even if the latter doesn’t quite hit the usability mark I’d like it to. This is an appealing camera, and won’t disappoint anyone who buys it as long as they do so with the understanding that it isn’t the best all-round performer for its price. Eye-catching minimalist style; Solid build quality; Punchy photos;
Too reliant on touchscreen control; Doesn’t take video seriously; No viewfinder;
