Powerful yet heavy and fragile lid

Disappointed with the plastic case and the mouse pad, but I'm going to keep it since the main reason to buy is to replace my XP desktop. Non of my other devices at home has Ethernet, VGA or DVD burner. So, this is a laptop that's going to be used as a desktop replacement.

Got it for less than $400 with a seasonal discount, a coupon and credit card discount/points; Fast boot; Processor, RAM, and SSD combination for a competitive price; handles most daily tasks with no issues; No bloatware from seller (Newegg), only few things from manufacturer (no big deal)

Fragile and ugly lid; Feels no internal support to protect the screen from the back while traveling; It's not that "show off" that you can bring to college, work presentation or even a cafe; Screen is average as advertised; not bad but not that super HD; Cheap feeling plastic case.

Brilliant performance

While I don't use my laptop for anything particularly intensive like gaming, I do use it as my entertainment hub, plugged into my TV for movies, music, etc. This HP 250 G5 performs brilliantly, running smooth and quick, and the finish is great, with a subtle brushed design across the keyboard/mouse...

Configured with 12GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, this is a very nice performing laptop. It generally feels well made and solid, there isn't a lot of keyboard flex as seen in many inexpensive laptops. I use it for software development and work related activities, not for serious gaming.

Bought it from hp seller, its an average laptop ...

Bought it from hp seller, its an average laptop,i was surprised when it lagged first, after 2-3 days, then again and again, lagging in a new laptop made me suspicious about this laptop's long-term performance.

HP 250 G5 Y1V08UT (Celeron N3060, HD) Notebook Review

The 6 W Celeron CPU makes for a subpar Windows 10 experience even when equipped with a primary SSD. Quiet operation and long battery life are the main benefits for such a low-power configuration.

no CPU throttling; low running temperatures, long runtimes; low power consumption, removable Li-Ion battery pack, upgradeable HDD and RAM, HDMI and VGA, inexpensive, silent

keyboard keys clatter; no keyboard backlight, narrow gamut and viewing angles, slow system performance, lid susceptible to flexing, cheap plastic texture, dim display backlight, difficult serviceability, no USB Type-C

HP 250 G5 Celeron N3060 Notebook - Dark ash silver

I took a chance with a celeron processor and now I'm regretting it. The idea was to get a household pc to do normal household processing, but the response time on the HP 250 G5 is unbearably slow. I should have saved up a little bit more and bought the i3 or even the i5 processing power.

Hewlett Packard Pavilion PC Notebook

I guess this piece of computer electronic has definitely "caught" my heart. It is a come-in-handy kind of PC Notebook and acts as my "surrogate" friend whenever all my buddies are busy at work or something.

HP 250 G5 Laptop Intel Core i5 6200U 8GB RAM 256GB SSD DVD Multi

I have bought this laptop for my small office, it was a great choice. I had no problems with this one yet, no flickering, no bluescreens, amazing performance. SD Card reader is very handy, especially for person that working a lot with image and photos.
