Just after Christmas I was in my local Boots browsing the sale items. I was attracted to a box containing several well known brands of miniature perfumes including a tiny bottle of Anais Anais. A close friend always wears this perfume and it smells lovely on her, so I was keen to try it for myself.

Unfortunately Ana?s Ana?s smells for me from front to back like the bouquets of flowers, which one quickly dumps into an unused adjoining room. Stunning, dangerous for headaches. If it's in the air, you can't cook, you can't think, you can't sleep.

I smelled this in the department store a few days ago and it really bought back memories. I used to use Anais Anais decades ago (probably when it first came out) because it was made by Cacharel and I had purchased and loved quite a few items of clothing from Cacharel (yes, they used to make clothes)...

Premier Délice is one of several variations on the classical green floral Anais Anai s, but it's the first major departure from the original. Instead of accenting the floral notes, perfumers Olivier Cresp and Dora Baghriche took a different route. They've laced it with chocolate!

On the whole I tend to like Cacharel fragrances and wear Noa and Amor Amor quite regularly. I think Cacharel are great if you are looking for a perfume which smells great, lasts well and doesn't cost the earth, however Anais Anais is one scent I've never really been a fan of.

I bought this product as a Christmas present for my daughter-in-law. I founf it very expensive, but she was happy with it. It was a reasonable prive I found in comparison with other perfumes on the market.

I have used this scent daily since it was introduced in 1978. It makes me feel special and everyone in my family associates the scent with me.

This has been my signature fragrance for years; it does not go out of style, and a small amount goes a long way. However, it is increasingly expensive. I would recommend it for daily use, but sparse use. It is by no means limited to evening or formal occasions.
