Terrific with some drawbacks

To sum things up this is the monitor built for gaming not for colour ;)

Because of the TN panel it allows fast refresh rates up to 144hz and a 1 ms gtg for very nice and great performance when gaming; For me personally i love it being 24 inches no shorter no longer and is also included with a DVI-D cable so you don't have to go out and buy it

Because its a TN panel it gives worse colours than a IPS; if you want it purely for gaming go with this but if you want it for viewing or watching films of that sort go and buy a ips display. The speakers are pretty crappy but that is to be expected due to it being built in speakers.

ASUS VG248QE Review

Ask any hardcore gamer what matters most and nine out of 10 times you'll most definitely get a one-word answer-speed. True, fast frame rates will not only give you smoother game play but they can also give you an edge over those unfortunate souls who…

Fast pixel response; 144Hz refresh rate; Ergonomic stand

Narrow viewing angles; 3D gear not included; No USB ports

Asus VG248QE 144hz Gaming Monitor Review

Kitguru says: Not the best ASUS monitor we have tested. If you want to play 3D games all the time however, then it is worth considering.

Nice build quality; great stand system; 3D gaming is fantastic; 144hz refresh rate; Displayport connector; quick refresh eliminates ghosting and artifacting

2D image quality is only average at best; glossy finish gets dirty quickly; white purity and black definition

Asus VG248QE Review

The Asus VG248QE is a 24-inch gaming monitor featuring a 144Hz refresh rate, a speedy pixel response, and a highly adjustable stand. It's a good performer but could use a few more gamer-centric features.

Asus VG248QE review

We should all be fairly grateful that monitor and TV manufacturers are now turning their attention and marketing budgets towards 4K panels. It means we can all accept the latest attempt at making 3D a home experience was a total failure.

Asus VG248QE Review

Ask any hardcore gamer what matters most and nine out of 10 times you'll get a one-word answer—speed. It's no secret that fast frame rates not only give you smoother game play but they can also give you an edge over those unfortunate souls who have to deal with lag and choppy motion. You can spend thousands on a tricked out gaming rig but if your monitor can't display the action smoothly you're not getting the most out of your hardware investment. With the Asus VG248QE ($339.99 at Amazon), you don't have to worry about ghosting, lag, or choppy action. This 24-inch gaming monitor offers a 1-millisecond (gray-to-gray) pixel response and a 144Hz refresh rate, and it is 3D capable. Its color accuracy is good (not great) and its stand lets you position the panel in any direction for optimal (and comfortable) viewing. Off angle viewing is less than stellar though, and a few more I/O ports would be nice. Design and Features The VG248QE uses a design similar to its bigger sibling, the As...

Excellent monitor, terrible warranty

After 2 years of excellence my VG248QE developed some image persistence. I started an RMA, and Asus said they had no replacement units. After awhile they said they had them in stock, but gave me NO option of a advance RMA. They initially said I had to pay for shipping as well.

Extremely Fast Response

The average refresh rate of a display is 60 Hz and here it can go up to 144 Hz.
