Apple iPhone 6s review: Exploring the coveted third dimension

Big changes have been made to Apple’s iPhone 6s. The naked eye will consider this smartphone identical to its predecessor with its eerie, twin-like looks, and yet this generation’s model represents a substantial step forward, from the fabric of its metal body to the computing components that constitute its work-a-holic core.

Improved construction; 3D Touch will reap genuine benefits; Faster processor and double the RAM; 12MP rear and 5MP front camera; TouchID is among the best finger scanners;

Cameras lack OIS and could be higher in resolution; Battery life still lesser than rivals;

Apple iPhone 6S (64GB, Gold) AU - Excellent review

Read the headline. That's all you need really, isn't it? It's obvious that Apple's iPhone 6s is a top-notch smartphone: faster than before, with more features, and just as beautifully designed. I'd also hazard a guess that more people than ever are going to buy it.

Apple iPhone 6S (64GB, Gold) AU - Excellent review

It goes without saying that Apple doesn’t have any trouble shifting units of its popular iPhone, but if you’re a photographer whose primary concern when buying a new phone is the camera, you may be better served by other options on the market.

Apple iPhone 6S (64GB, Gold) AU - Excellent review

For this generation of iPhone Apple’s tagline is, “The only thing that’s changed is everything.” Based on our experiences with the iPhone 6s this is only really a half-truth and the implications of it aren’t always for the better.

Great cameras, Stunning screen, Blazing fast performance, Best app experience

The iPhone 6S boasts stellar performance and 3D Touch is amazing, but battery life is a little down on last year

Has everything really changed for the iPhone 6s? Stuff's verdict is in

Sweet camera with lovely extra features, Touch ID is we-can’t-believe-it fast, All round powerful performance, 3D Touch is a time-saving delight

3D Touch and Live Photos could both do with broad third-party support, Battery life hasn’t been improved upon

Apple iPhone 6S (64GB, Gold) AU - Excellent review

The 3D Midas touch. No disrespect intended for the Apple iPhone 6S, but rather to point out the new control concept 3D Touch, which is one of the most important new features of the current smartphones from Cupertino.

extremely high performance, flawless build quality, high stability, control concept with a real additional value, convenient display, fast communication modules, excellent GPS module, decent battery runtimes, good cameras with nice features

iOS 9 still a bit buggy, NFC not usable for third-party apps, internal storage cannot be expanded, mediocre low-light camera performance, very high price
