It's a brave new world for Apple's larger iPhone, and it's much the better for it
Apple is probably the only electronics company that can upset the smartphone status quo with a single announcement. When the iPhone 6 became official, longtime fans hammered the company's servers and stores for the privilege of being one of its first owners.
It's extremely thin; pleasingly light and eminently comfortable; with a 4.7-inch screen that's gorgeous despite its relatively low resolution
Disappointingly; its battery life isn't much better than what was packed into the iPhone 5s; and lags behind other major competitors.
Once the undisputed leader of the smartphone pack Apple has lost a lot of ground to its competitors who have copied innovated their way to much better hardware and software over the last few years.
Apple's 2014 iPhones have made a predictable dent in both the media and the high-end smartphone market , with the 'upsizing' of the handsets and the simultaneous release of iOS 8 grabbing much attention.
Elegant slimline chassis with 4.7-inch screen; Solid build quality; Performance boost over iPhone 5s; Fast autofocus on iSight camera; Good new features in iOS 8
Battery life may not be enough for power users; No optical image stabilisation on iSight camera; No NFC-enabled Apple Pay support outside the US
Apple's iPhone 6 is one of our favorite high-end smartphones . While most iPhones are sold through carrier channels, it also makes an excellent unlocked phone -one good enough to call Editors' Choice . There are a few things you need to know to get the best unlocked iPhone experience, though.
Universal carrier compatibility in the United States; Best third-party apps of any mobile OS; Excellent low-light camera performance; Fast Wi-Fi
Phone calling performance is just okay
Even though the iPhone 6 is significantly bigger than every previous iPhone, it's still a manageable size. If you've always used an iPhone and aren't sure you want a phablet, the iPhone 6 might be the way to go.
Crisp; bigger screen; Premium build quality; Great camera with cool video features
Small battery; Not waterproof; No microSD card
I was a little reluctant in the beginning as I've always used an android phone.
Gold platted and nice look
overpricing
This phone does not disappoint. It may be pricey but it is hella fun to use. 8 MP camera seems a bit small for a current-gen smartphone, but it shoots quite well. The phone looks very neat, with aluminium built to give it a touch of class. After all, it's an iPhone.
-Camera is quite pleasing; -Siri is fun; -Easy to use; -Looks classy; -Touch ID; -An Apple product; -Lots of apps
-Display quality is a quite low compared to other newer smartphones; -Battery life is quite poor; -Pricey; -Microphone jack located at the bottom
It doesn't have band 12, and for this reason, isn't really necessarily worth it. I purchased this device upon signing onto a contract with T-mobile, as I had previously used the iPhone 2G,3G,3GS,4,4S,5S,6, and had thought this would have been a good choice.
You may have just bought an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and sought a review to confirm you made the right choice. You may be teetering on the edge of an order and need a persuasive nod in the form of a positive review.
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus: Beautiful design; excellent performance; iOS 8 increases flexibility; unmatched industrial design; best rear-facing cameras on the market iPhone 6 Plus only: Optical image stabilisation; large and Full HD screen makes a big difference
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus: Expensive iPhone 6 Plus only: Identical GPU means higher-resolution 3D games may run at lower frame rates than iPhone 6
