A tolerable model, will never purchase a budget iPhone again

I found that the phone is great but not hard-wearing or long-lasting. I've had mine for almost 2 years and it isn't in the best condition despite being looked after. The fact it's a cheap alternative to the other iPhone models cannot be avoided.

"Colour choice; "Good software; "Great camera

"Cheaply made; "Scratch easily

iPhone 5C

The phone feels good to hold and use. The screen resolution and the speed of the phone is nice. The memory for 8GB is an issue, but I never use the phone for playing games or use large apps, so its good for me. I ordered the blue one and the color is soothing as well. Happy with the buy.

Apple iPhone 5c in-depth review - iPhone gets a splash of colour

Last year Apple defied expectation and released the iPad mini , a dinky version of its iconic tablet which we loved thanks to its easy-to-grip-and-carry nature. This year, we expected the mobile giant to surprise us all again by unleashing a budget version of the iPhone.

Bold colours; Usual great Retina screen; App Store

Limited storage; Below average media battery life; Still quite expensive

Apple iPhone 5c (16GB/32GB)

In an alternate reality, the iPhone 5 would have followed past Apple precedent, dropping in price to $99 while a markedly more powerful iPhone 5S debuted at $199, $299, and $399 price points.

A more affordable version of 2012's iPhone 5; still packing a 4" screen; LTE cellular support; and two very good cameras; with modestly improved low-light performance on the front camera.

Plastic shells are a major downgrade from both iPhone 5's metal casing and earlier plastic enclosures developed for the iPhone 3GS; with mostly stale color options; and no trace of metallic sparkle.

iPhone 5c review

We never expected Apple to build a cheap anything and the 5c is testament to that. Launching a phone to appeal to a wider demographic is a brave move, especially when you're considered a premium brand.

Colourful chassis; iOS 7 looks incredible; Improved battery life

Price-tag compared to rivals; Smaller screen than rivals

iPhone 5c review review

An iPhone 5 for less; iOS 7 lives up to the hype; Excellent new camera app;

Colour theming will alienate diehards; Legibility issues with some fonts and icons; Still too darn expensive;

Apple iPhone 5C review

For over a decade, the most persistent criticism of Apple has been that the company's power comes not from invention, but from marketing - that millions of customers are buying into a logo and a lifestyle more than radically new products.

Look at all the colors; iPhone 5 internals still solid; Great camera

Not as nice as the iPhone 5; iOS 7 still needs polish

iPhone 5c Review

The iPhone 5c is not a wholly new product, but a successful reworking of a still-excellent smartphone. Apple will find success with the product by marketing the 5c to colour-conscious youth and those who don't need the top of the line features or specs.

This is very much an iPhone 5 in a new suit; Being available in five colours - white, pink, blue, green and yellow - is the first clue that the iPhone 5c is the new iPod touch; That it is "unapologetically plastic" doesn't tell the whole story, though, because like Motorola and Nokia, Apple has...

Let's talk price for a second; The iPhone 5c is not a cheap iPhone, nor is it an inexpensive smartphone in general; You're still going to pay over $200 for the 32GB model - in my opinion the only one worth considering - which is currently $30 more than the LG G2, and $100 more than the HTC One.

Review Apple iPhone 5c Smartphone

Those who have backed away from one of the current iPhones due to their premium price points of 699 to 899 Euros (~$948 to ~$1220) may be glad to hear that the iPhone 5c is at least somewhat more affordable .

Great build quality; Wide selection of well attuned accessories; Intuitive; beautiful operating system; Decent camera; Impressively precise GPS module; Low emissions and low power consumption; Still fast enough for all current apps; Great Retina display..

..; but with a low non-HD resolution, Barely any cheaper than the iPhone 5s, Small phone with a tiny screen size (compared to the competitors, No 64-bit support, Performance levels not quite high-end, A slightly higher-resolution display (at least 720p) would be nice by now.

GOOD SOLID phone

This is a good phone and very solid. iOS very easy to use but non customizable. Happy with it except for low RAM and poor build. Camera is poor too. Apps are very good. Hardware seems good as the everyday use is good. poor battery. Can't use without a case.

easy to use; apps good; fast UI

poor battery; low RAM; camera low resolution
