Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Graphite MGMK3X/A review

If you’re already a fan of the iPhone brand, you’ll likely be thrilled with the iPhone 12 Pro series - whichever of the two models you decide to opt for. There’s lots to like, with simplicity of operation, 5G connectivity, 4K video recording and excellent stills results all going for them.

Great screens; Triple lens set up; Easy to use; Excellent stills and video performance; Can shoot in raw format

High price; No “advanced” camera mode; Can’t expand inbuilt memory

Awesome phone

Was bought as a gift for someone and they love it. The stainless steel body, great screen response times, and just a great overall finish of quality materials.

InstaHusband - iPhone 12 Pro 128GB

So we bought my husband this new phone upgrading from the iPhone 6S (yes, believe it or not some have survived this long) in the Boxing Day sales at The Good Guys Lutchwyche (Brisbane). The graphics, resolution and ease of use was pleasantly surprising (having changed from an iPhone with home button to one without). One of our biggest concerns was transferring all of the data, photos etc across from the iPhone 6 to the 12 however with the advice of the sales rep at The Good Guys the process was really simple similar to using airdrop. There is nothing that makes your heart sink more than when losing photos/memories due to technological hiccups. The cost of the iPhone 12 Pro is ridiculously high but as this is dictated (mostly) by Apple theres no real way of avoiding the price tag. We are yet to see if the cost can be negated by the increase (or decrease) in Instagram followers and double taps (just kidding, but really we only bought this phone for the camera). It is still early days whe...

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

The iPhone 12 Pro delivers amazing camera and video quality, 5G and crazy fast performance in a sleeker new design, though the battery life could be better. The iPhone 12 Pro is a serious step up from the iPhone 11 Pro, but that’s not who this flagship is really for.

Best-in-class cameras, A14 Bionic blows away Android phones, Tougher Ceramic Shield display, Bigger screen in sleeker design, MagSafe charging is easy to use

5G takes toll on battery life, No charger in box, Lacks 120Hz display, Limited optical zoom

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 5G (128GB, Graphite) - Excellent review

The iPhone 12 Pro is a great device but there’s nothing really that makes it exclaim that it’s a “Pro” device. Sure it has a telephoto lens, stainless steel frame, more storage options but you’re getting the same battery life as the cheaper iPhone 12 .

The new design is a nice and welcome change, Great camera and can shoot Dolby Vision video (up to 60 fps), Good battery life with long standby time, A14 Bionic offers quick performance, Wireless charging and fast charge support, The OLED screen looks great

iOS 14 could still use a bit more work, Heavier in the hand than the iPhone 12, More expensive and not much extra value over the iPhone 12, The MagSafe ecosystem is cool and has potential but not great now

iPhone 12 Pro review

At first glance, the iPhone 12 Pro looks like a phone that's caught between two stools. With the same dimensions and chipset as the iPhone 12, it’s easy to wonder whether the Pro is worth the extra cash – especially when the iPhone 12 Pro Max is out there with a better camera sensor and longer battery life. There are some useful upgrades here – not least the camera, and the jump to 128GB of storage in the cheapest model, and it also comes in more muted, premium-looking colors. It's the more mature iPhone for sure – but it's tough to say it's got enough to encourage you to upgrade.

Nice color choices; Most powerful smartphone out; MagSafe technology works well;

No charging block in box; 5G still an expensive luxury; Battery could be better

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

Apple’s $1,000 phone sits in the awkward spot of not quite being the best phone. Nevertheless, it offers compelling upgrades.

A really nice OLED display. Excellent performance with the new A14 Bionic. The lidar scanner makes for clear low-light portrait shots, and the triple-lens rear camera system overall is great. 4K video at 60 frames per second offers more depth than non-HDR videos. MagSafe accessories are fun.

It's $1,000. No USB-C. No 120-Hz refresh rate. Battery could last longer.
