Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

With 5G, LiDAR, and MagSafe, the iPhone 12 Pro offers more than just the improved performance and better cameras we expect every year. But it will be some time before those technologies are widely utilized.

Absurdly fast performance, Excellent new design, Consistently great photos and video, LiDAR and MagSafe offer glimpses of the future

The most interesting new features are underutilized, Still waiting for features like ProMotion or an always-on display

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

Apple’s $1,000 phone sits in the awkward spot of not quite being the best phone. Nevertheless, it offers compelling upgrades.

A really nice OLED display. Excellent performance with the new A14 Bionic. The lidar scanner makes for clear low-light portrait shots, and the triple-lens rear camera system overall is great. 4K video at 60 frames per second offers more depth than non-HDR videos. MagSafe accessories are fun.

It's $1,000. No USB-C. No 120-Hz refresh rate. Battery could last longer.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

Apple’s top-tier smartphones offer some big features with a price tag to match, but if you’re looking for the best of the best, you can’t go wrong with the iPhone Pro or Max.

Increase in base storage, OLED displays, Incredible cameras

Such a high price, Not everyone has 5G

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

The iPhone 12 Pro delivers amazing camera and video quality, 5G and crazy fast performance in a sleeker new design, though the battery life could be better. The iPhone 12 Pro is a serious step up from the iPhone 11 Pro, but that’s not who this flagship is really for.

Best-in-class cameras, A14 Bionic blows away Android phones, Tougher Ceramic Shield display, Bigger screen in sleeker design, MagSafe charging is easy to use

5G takes toll on battery life, No charger in box, Lacks 120Hz display, Limited optical zoom

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

You must have telephoto. If you're choosing between the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, the addition of a telephoto lens is what will likely sell you on the extra money. Lidar and a stainless steel frame are bonuses, but likely not worth the extra cash. You love the Pro's matte glass back.

Superb performance, Consistently good photo and video quality, Improved industrial design

Worse battery life than iPhone 11 Pro

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

The iPhone 12 Pro checks all the boxes for a great smartphone, but is that enough to make it stand out?

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

Just plain gorgeous design, especially in Pacific Blue; triple-lens camera is up there with other flagships, especially with Night Portraits; powerful performance; fast 5G speeds (where you can find them)

Apple should've packed the same Pro Max camera specs in the smaller Pro for those of us who do not want gigantic phones

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB - Pacific Blue MGMN3X/A review

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini are the best base-model iPhones ever built. They offer an all-new flat-edged design, they finally get an OLED display, plus they offer the 5G support that will ensure future-proofing.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 5G (128GB, Graphite) - Excellent review

Enticing. The iPhone 12 Pro received a design refresh reminiscent of the old iPhone 5s. It features the latest technology the Californians have to offer, including 5G and Apple's new magnetic MagSafe feature. Find out whether or not it is worth switching in our review.

blazingly fast SoC, bright OLED display with HDR10 and DolbyVision, long battery life, good triple-camera system, premium build quality and IP68, accurate location services, broad frequency support

mediocre speaker, Bluetooth without High Res Audio, fairly slow Wi-Fi 6, limited and restricted NFC, memory not expandable, no mmWave, slow wired data transfer speeds
