An exceptional phone with an incredible camera, but the standard iPhone 11 will make more sense for most people

It’s difficult to divorce any discussion of the merits or otherwise of the iPhone 11 Pro without mention of the price, so let’s get that out of the way. In our view, considering how good its rivals are, the iPhone 11 Pro is simply too expensive.

After using the iPhone 11 Pro as much as possible every day for the past week, I was ready to give Apple's phenomenal new flagship device my first perfect 10 rating. Alas, the phone is not perfect, as it offers a paltry 128GB starting capacity. Now, I'm left considering a move to the 256GB model.

The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max offer the best that Apple is capable of right now, but we're still left with an important question: Do you actually need everything on offer here Certain changes, like improved battery life and the more flexible triple cameras, are updates everyone can enjoy.

The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max did not arrive at the splashiest Apple event ever. Like their sibling the iPhone 11 , they were mostly seen as iterative updates to Apple's existing iPhone XS and XS Max : relatively sedate changes to already winning devices.

Apple's first ‘Pro' iPhone came under the iPhone 11-series. Of the series, this has the smallest display, and one could easily think it as the iPhone 11 Max offered in a more compact screen size. It comes with a 5.8-inch Super Retina display, with 1125 x 2436 pixels resolution.

Before the release of iPhone 11 Pro, Apple took a lot of heat for what was predicted to be a very minor iteration over last year's iPhone XS. What was actually delivered is anything but inconsequential.
