The iPad Mini with Retina display is essentially the same iPad Mini we used to know and love. It's just faster and better. The improvements are exactly where we wanted them. Our only complaint is that Apple priced it way higher than we expected (almost 20-25% from the previous version) putting it in...
* Great display quality; * Great performance; * Long battery life; * Impressive design and profile
Apple found a lot of success with the original iPad mini. It delivered an Apple tablet experience in a smaller size and at a slightly more affordable price than the full fat iPad and people went mad for it. The only real problem it had was its screen which, frankly, wasn't all that.
Stunning design; Powerful; Good battery life
Expensive
When we first clutched last year's Apple iPad Mini , we were instantly sold. The compact and featherlight body was a dream compared with the 4th-generation iPad 's bulky, heavy build, making it friendly on our puny biceps.
Beautifully crisp and responsive screen; Impressive performance; Still comfortably slim and light
Like a sized-down iPad Air, the Retina iPad Mini gives Apple an equally strong contender in compact tablets, marrying a terrific display with close-to-perfect aesthetics. Though pricey for the size, it's one of the best small tablets you can buy.
Compact; lightweight design; Brilliant; sharp display with high pixel density; Strong battery life
Display; like on previous-gen iPads; is glare-prone; Thin-sounding audio; Less-than-ideal speaker positioning
This latest release from Apple addresses one of the biggest concerns of the original iPad Mini . By adding a Retina display to the device, you can now enjoy the true iPad experience in a portable, smaller format.
Beautiful retina display; Fast performance; Useful pre-installed apps; Solid design
Price; Mediocre camera
I love my mini, it does all I need, I use it for school, for social networks, for games, its perfect and i love it
Introduction Apple had introduced the original iPad Mini without the RETINA display and that pretty much confirmed that the second generation of Apple iPad Mini would come with the RETINA display.
Excellent Build Quality and Premium Finish; Lot of tablet specific applications; Top notch performance; Excellent battery life
On the expensive side; Lack of expandable storage; Camera lacks flash and isn't great for lowlight performance; iOS 7 feels boring and same throughout
Heavier than the first generation ipad mini due to the larger battery size needed to drive the A7 quad core processor which in turn is needed to drive the 2048 x 1536 screen. Four times the pixels of the original ipad mini WOW !
I use it for my disabled 5 year old son who has cerebral palsy, has great communication apps, its hard for him to talk so we use this so he can show us what he's saying. This item has something for every age. We love it. He loves the apps he doesn't know he's learning at the same time.
App Availablity; Battery Life; Easy To Customize; Great 4 All Ages; Love This; Operating System; Screen; The Best; Web Browsing; WiFi
Cases Are Pricey
