BEST audio quality, lacking in features, ok ANC

Yamaha’s marketing team shouldn’t be quiet about this product. I didn’t even know about these headphones till I had a look at JB HI FI. There’s NOT ONE SINGLE YOUTUBE VIDEO of these headphones. Not ONE review. I was trying to see who Yamaha are trying to market these to as well…but I couldn’t tell. I can only speculate from using these on who they’re trying to market. I feel like they’re trying to market for audiophiles. Yes I said it. So far, these are as close as you can get to good performance cans. I was always skeptical about Bluetooth sound quality but there you have it. If you’re into getting the best portable listening experience you can get right now, these are it. If you’re into the best ANC you can get, stay away from these and get the Sony’s. Overall I think the Sony’s are a better product. I’m one of those people that puts a lot of priority for sound quality and so I am happy to stick with these and not swap them out for the XM4s. The sound quality is just so good, I don

Best Headphone Ever

I can not agree more this hands down sound quality over Sony Headphone WH H900N. The sound is definitely less compressed a real joy to listen too. I have pick them up on sales for general use best in class. Feels premium and look deferent from the rest of the pack.the 3.5mm cable could of been better which I will upgrade otherwise great joy listening detail sound from it. If you see them on sale again go for it. Comfortable and Yamaha customer service also were quick to answer my question about 3.5mm cable replacement.

Yamaha YH-L700A review

If spatial audio is your thing, then Yamaha has some big, bold headphones that will show you a good time. The performance-to-price ratio could be better though.

Beautifully built and finished, from premium materials; Convincing and periodically captivating spatial audio effects; Sound reflects their big and burly look; ;

Unarguably expensive; Ordinary noise cancellation; Size rules out many potential owners

Yamaha YH-L700A Review

Although audiophile-friendly and high-end noise-cancelling headphones demand a premium, Yamaha's YH-L700A over-ears are neither despite their $499.95 price. They sound good for certain genres, but their ineffective active noise cancellation (ANC) and underwhelming 3D audio aren't nearly enough to justify their high price. You're much better off with the more affordable Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones ($329) instead. Even the $550 Apple AirPods Max are a more compelling alternative (especially for Apple users) despite their higher price.Sharp Looks The YH-L700A headphones look distinct. They sport a clothbound headband, cloth grilles, and an angular cut. The earpads are exceptionally comfortable—both the pads and headband feature generous cushioning and the pads have a black leatherette finish. Internally, 40mm dynamic drivers deliver a frequency range of 8Hz to 40kHz. Push-button controls on the right earcup’s outer panel feel dated. They're hard to press, and as a result, we ofte...

Yamaha's YH-L700A headphones offer decent sound quality, but their noise cancellation capabilities aren't impressive and they're simply too expensive for what you get.

Powerful audio performance with deep bass and crisp highs; Excellent mic clarity; Comfortable

Overpriced; Poor noise cancellation; Noise cancellation affects audio performance; 3D effect needs work

Amazing surround sound.

The audio quality is next level, highly recommend them based on Audio alone. I have a pair of Bose NC that were close to half the price of these and the audio in Yamaha is significantly better, however, the Noise Cancelling is the comparable, so no noticeable or distinct difference in NC quality. Apple Airpods Pro work better with regard to Bluetooth connection multiple devices, so if you are switching between bluetooth connection to phone or Laptop for team meetings, Air Pods are better for that as the Yamaha can be a bit glitchy and difficult to connect or swap between devices. Lastly, I'm an adult and have a smallish head and these headphones on the smallest setting just fit, so they feel like they are designed for large heads. Happy with the product overall.

Blown Away

The sound on these is incomparable with the current headphone market. I have owned and spent many hours with Bose QC35ii, Sony WH1000-XM4, Audio Technica m50xBT and other consumer headphones. While these may have some extra features (like multipoint pairing, eq and noise cancelling level adjustments) when it comes to raw audio quality, the Yamaha’s leave everything else sounding less resolved. Having the options to cycle through different 3D Audio Fields is something that no other headphone can offer. You wanna watch a live performance and feel like you’re at the concert? Get these. You want to watch movies with surround sound without disturbing the household? Get these. Intimate sessions? These have you covered. Could not be more pleased with the purchase.

Great High Quality Headphones

Honestly amazing quality headphones. Obviously you would expect it with a pair this expensive - but for me they're unrivalled by the other products. The flagship models from Bose Sennheisers and Sony are also great, and really match these headphones in all areas except for music quality. I feel like I can just enjoy all aspects of music so much more than any other pair of headphones I've worn. They're comfortable, has great audio quality, great ANC. Honestly excels in all areas for me.
