If you're in the market for a cheap fitness tracker, the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 is well worth adding to your shortlist. It might look unassuming at first glance, but it boasts some impressive features you'd expect to find in a much more expensive device (such as all-day stress tracking and a pulse oximeter), and its screen is exceptionally bright, vivid and responsive. When it comes to workouts, we found its connected GPS disappointing, and the band wasn't always particularly comfortable, but for casual use it's a great alternative to a Fitbit that offers a lot more than you might expect.

A more "professional" fit band than earlier models, and the matching app also gives more confidence. The face is clearer, and brightness can be altered at the watch, without having to go back to the app. The step counter is less optimistic than my old watch (dang it), and gives a more accurate estimate of steps. This watch has exceeded my expectations over the last month, which were already high because I had a Mi Smart Band 4 and loved that. It has managed to fix the few things that bothered me about the Mi Smart Band 4, the step count is more accurate, the sleep tracker also tracks naps now. I just love how simple and user friendly the watch is, and it's small enough for my little wrist. Also only need to charge once every week to ten days, which is awesome. The only feature that I would love is to be able to reply to a text, even with preset messages - maybe something to work on for future Mi Smart Bands.

It's got enough features to be satisfied, yet simple enough to be cheap and not overwhelm. Lasts approximately 10-12 days from 95% to 25% battery with normal to minimal usage. The wriststrap is very comfortable and well adjustable, although the sensor module on the rear of the device protrudes slightly and can be uncomfortable if worn too tightly. Syncs very well with, and is exclusively customizable through, the Mi Fit app.

Nice Amoled screen, more functions. Upgraded from the Mi Band 4 which genuinely had 2 weeks battery life. The 6 gives me just over a week. Still decent.

Great watch for the price, tonnes of features - some you’d expect from high-end fitness trackers. I upgraded from the Mi Band 4 and I’m certainly not disappointed.

With the Mi Band 6, Xiaomi has improved on what was already the best value smart band out there. It's a no-brainer for those on a tight budget or after a solid first-time wearable.
