This is a well thought out and developed system, hopefully they will keep on improving it. Generally it works very well but has been known to hang - this is particularly bad if unit is located remotely. Works very well with iPhone and iPad IoS client connections hosted on PC.

is great. However my biggest annoyance with this product is ...

Sorage etc... is great. However my biggest annoyance with this product is when you upgrade he firmware... the dashboard hangs for a very very long time.

Excellent value for money!

Unit was up and running within minutes of unpacking. Very easy to use. Upgraded memory to 16Gb, very easy to do. Using it as a Plex server and loving it!!

Great NAS. Easy setup.

I owned the EX 4 and DL4100, both worked great; Just wanted the upgrade and the PR 4100 is outstanding; Was able to put my 4 Reds 3tb hard drives from the DL4100 to the PR4100 without losing any data at Raid 5; Simple to upgrade the RAM to 16gb; I did not need but wanted it

Nothing at this time

Great Plex Server

Updated processor on this model and ability to expand the RAM to 16gb. Works great as a Plex server which is the main reason for my purchase. The built in transcoding is great! I find the user interface, app and backup software to be very easy to setup and use.

A great NAS PLEX media server with 1080p transcoding

I bought this drive for two reasons - my new gaming/video computer didn't have enough hard drives bays to handle all the videos/photos/data that I had created over the past 20 years and I needed a nas drive capable of streaming video.

WD has done a solid job with its My Cloud lineup. Over the years I have used a number of these units both for review and in my personal storage lineup. The PR4100 is by far the best I have seen a WD unit perform in a NAS environment.

Dreadful - something wrong with their hard drives.

Bought the EX4100 and all volumes died within a year. Upgraded to the PR4100 and 3 months later, one volume has degraded and needs replacing. To replace, you need to send the drive to Thailand at your own cost.
