I had the 3TB version for media storage, and it was too frustrating and unreliable. Almost daily it disconnected from my network as the WD Discovery software updated yet again. I ran Plex and iTunes to access the media, but even iTunes struggled as files were undiscoverable. This product has put me off WD products

The setup was okay, but when I started uploading less than a Tb of data, the system was very slow, taking several days of continuous operation, then my neighbourhood had a power outage, and the MyCloud could not be accessed, with no solutions in the manual of online, so I had to reset (reformat) the drive. Which makes the drive useless for my purposes.
