I used this in MacBook Pro Retina 13" early 2015 with long Syntech adapter. The performance is good, taking into account that the MBP has PCI-E 2.0 x4 bus. The only issue is that the hibernation workaround was needed.

Extremely fast, especially with a os installed on it.
