Today we'll be reviewing a product that for lack of better terms I'll call a hybrid USB drive, the Verbatim 4GB Store ‘n' Go USB HD Drive. Why do I call it a hybrid? Read on and ye shall be enlightened on the answers to this and many other questions!

Really shouldn't have to jump thru so many hoops to get a simple device to work. Wasted almost an hour of my time.

retractable design, reasonably sturdy plastic, Good speed; HD Tune measured 20MB/s average read speed; Write speed is about 10MB/s; That's 1.5x faster than the Kingston DataTraveler 2GB and the Sandisk cruzer 4gb I have

Windows 7 does not recognize the stick when first plugged in; Windows XP does; Went into "Device Manager" and saw "Store N Go" in the USB device list; Trying updating the driver (auto method) in Windows 7 but it says it is already up to date; Search the web for solution but nothing.

This is a fantastic item. Does exactly what it says. Would recommend to anyone. Only downside is that it is not as bright yellow as in the photograph. It is more of a golden colour. But that does not take away how brilliant this item is.

As we saw with Verbatim's 500GB drive it's a company with a real talent for compact designs. With the Store ‘n' Go 1TB Verbatim has managed to shrink its device down to the smallest size you could possibly imagine containing a 2.5in hard drive – not a millimetre is wasted.
