Great feature set, battery life is okay.

Excellent choice if you need 2 cameras, range is quite impressive. Monitor is reasonable battery life, but over the course of a year the battery won’t hold as well. Microphone is sensitive and the volume is very pound st the highest setting which is great. Easy to use, can’t comment on the network features because we don’t use them, but I’ve herd it’s a bit of a mission to setup. Warranty is send to repair up to 12 months. Although JB were kind enough in our 11th to replace the screen as it stopped displaying a picture. There seems to be an updated version of this without the model changeing - the screen seems to have better resolution, and the cameras have a metal stem now. Nice unit overall.

Great kit. never had a problem

I bought one of these kits when our second son was born 7 months ago. Its been great. We have one camera on each child's sleeping position. It's been a huge help and they are easy to relocate, provided you can run power to them out of reach of the kids. At least I don't have to run multiple video cable across the whole house. We very rarely use it on battery though, which other people seem to have had trouble with. The batteries don't last long e.g. 2-3 hours max.

Lacking

The sound on its lowest volume is too loud so if, for example, you have a screaming toddler, you cannot turn the camera down lower than if they are squealing in your ear. The cords fall out easily, from the cameras and the display unit. The buttons are so flimsy that they've all broken. Most 'lullabies' are so fast they sound as if they need anxiety medication.

Great value but could be better

I bought this recently because the monitor we had died. The connection and picture quality is great but it wasn't made clear that the sound is constant and is not noise activated like our previous which doesnt work well with white noise that plays in the bedroom. It also says that it 'pans' but that is not true, it just lets to scroll across on the image when you use the zoom function. It is also not noise activated for the screen to come on, only movement and i've noticed and it doesnt pick up the movement most of the time. And lastly, the battery life is awful. Thankfully i had a second ac plug that fit the unit so i could have one in our bedroom and one in the loungeroom so the monitor can stay plugged in. Oh and it says it comes with a usb cord in the manual, but it did not. I honestly probably still would have bought it because it was such a great price, i just wish i knew these things before i'd made my decision.

Misleading product & advertising

I bought this two camera product both as a baby monitor and pet monitor - main attraction was "being able to view from anywhere in the world". I have a high speed wifi network at home. What this doesn't tell you (nor was the salesman confident) about its capability, is that you need to setup a new skype account, have the camera monitor permanently connected VIA WIRE to your home computer (which must be on, active, and logged into Skype) and to "view" the monitor you have to dial in from a second Skype account, hopefully your computer hasn't gone to sleep at home otherwise it won't answer. Of course, my young son and particularly my dog, are unable to ensure my laptop is on and logged on to skype at home whilst I'm not there and they are SLEEPING. In short, these "wireless" cameras only become visible "anywhere in the world" if they are connected to an active computer connected to the internet and skype and HARD wired to the baby monitor at home. Essentially they are capable of becomin
