Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero Review

If you're after a gaming headset with flexible audio and a robust design but aren't too bothered about looks, the Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero is worth considering.

Solid build quality that reflects the asking price ; Excellent audio, with a handful of enhancement features ; Works across a number of platforms ; Easy to fold away ;

Not the most attractive headset; Microphone quality could be better ; Turtle Beach audio software isn't well designed ;

Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero review

Turtle Beach is on to a winner with the Elite Atlas Aero, offering premium build quality and a high-end audio experience without a budget-breaking price tag. Couple that with wireless connectivity, advanced audio features like Waves Nx 3D Audio and Superhuman Hearing via Control Studio for PC and you've got a great all-round gaming headset.

Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero Review

Turtle Beach's Elite line of gaming headsets have always been wired. The Elite Pro 2 TR stands as one of the strongest picks available under $200, while the Elite Atlas offers the same build quality and comfort with more modest performance for half as much. At $149.95, the new Elite Atlas Aero is a wireless gaming headset with Waves Nx simulated surround sound and extensive audio and voice customization options. It doesn't sound as powerful as the wired Elite Pro 2 or the much more expensive SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless, but for the price it's a very compelling headset for PC gamers. Design The Elite Atlas Aero looks and feels very similar to the Elite Atlas and Elite Pro 2 headsets, with a sturdy steel headband and large, soft memory foam earpads wrapped in faux leather on the sides and a more breathable fabric on the face. The metal headband supports a suspension that holds a fabric-covered foam pad that rests comfortably against your scalp while keeping the metal lifted abo...

The Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero wireless gaming headset offers a comfortable fit, good audio quality, and solid simulated suround sound for your PC.

Comfortable, sturdy build; Balanced sound; Good mic; Extensive options through app

Wireless through PC only; Bass isn't particularly powerful; Waves Nx doesn't track motion

Great headset, troublesome software

The software is rubbish, has issues with it, once that issue is fixed them I am sure it would be worth a 5 star rating.

Terrible

I bought these about 18 months ago. Nothing but problems. Randomly mutes, have to reconnect the dongle to work, software is terrible, plastic feels cheap, audio is not great...

Save your money

Will never buy Turtlebeach again. Terrible mic quality, on ear controls don’t always work and very frustrating software.

Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero review

The Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero is a good headset, with excellent sound quality and features, but the tight fit, high price tag and questionable aesthetic hold it back from true greatness.

Sound quality; ProSpecs Glasses Relief system; Plenty of features; ;

Expensive; Questionable aesthetic
