Great for Zelda Fans Old and New.

I never had the chance to play the original skyward sword and am really enjoying the remake. It looks absolutely stunning. Great for old Zelda fans who have played the game before and want that nostalgia hit, or for those who are new to the adventure. This game is quickly catching up to Twilight Princess as my favourite. Highly recommend picking up a copy.

Unplayable mess

As a long time LoZ fan it pains me to to write a bad review of a game from the franchise. But on motion controls and button layout this is infuriatingly terrible to play. The sword controls and having to hold L while panning the camera completely ruined my experience. Even borrowing my friends OG switch to use motion controls this was still unplayable. If this had normal legend of zelda controls and not this stupid swing the right analogue to swing your sword, it would probably be up there with windwaker, majoras mask, twilight princess and ocarina as an absolute classic of a game.

Just like the original but better

A wonderful rendition of my favourite Zelda game. The small nuance differences to the game are well made and do not affect the overall feel of the gameplay that I love.

Decent gameplay. Prefer BOTW

Isn't as good as Breath of the wild, but it's still alright.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD (for Nintendo Switch) Review

Aside from the CD-i abominations that few people have played, there are no bad Legend of Zelda games. There are Zelda games that are worse than others, but each entry in Nintendo’s epic, action-adventure series contains so much craft and creativity that they’re only “bad” relative to each other. First released on the Wii in 2011, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is considered one of these “bad” Zelda games, and its linear style feels older than ever in a post-Breath of the Wild world. Still, it is a good game, and thanks to new, beautiful, HD visuals and fresh control options, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD ($59.99) is the best it has ever been in its move to the Nintendo Switch. Clear Skies The idea of combining all the Zelda games into a single, unified timeline always seemed like missing the point, since these games are about the universal joy of adventure rather than epic, elaborate fantasy plots. However, Nintendo markets Skyward Sword as the official origin story...

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD’s upgraded visuals and motion-free control options make this the best way to play the Wii classic, even if the game is firmly stuck in Zelda’s past.

Clean HD visuals; Enhanced frame rate; Faster pace, with fewer tutorials; New, button-only control options

Full-price for one old port; Extremely linear gameplay
