Nice lens for the price

If you are a photographer you should have either Photoshop or Lightroom which is a must with this lens. It is a good lens and the better the exposure the less you'll have to tweak, but I have yet to get a shot that I could leave untouched. Hence the 4 out of 5 eggs.

Nice wide angle lens for the price, and with rebate the deal is even better; Seems to focus quickly, and is reasonably sharp from f8 up; Great for HDR shots, and Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom 4 already have a profile for this lens to adjust for the barrel distortion

Could be Sharper at lower f-stops; Lens cap doesn't like some polarizing filters(doesn't stay on), but no biggie; Chromatic aberration can be strong but the new lens correction tools in either Lightroom 4 or Adobe Camera Raw can eliminate that problem crazy easy.

review of tamron 10-24 mm lens

This ultrawide lens is not performing well at 10 mm. It's having very noticeable barrel distortion at aperture 3.5 (little or more barrel distortion is present in other lens like Canon, Nikon and Tokina too but not this much). On / after aperture 8 it becomes okay at 10 mm and above.

A good product Value for money

This is very good lens specifically for Wide Angle Photography comparable to Canon Lens. Focal length range is an advantage over other lenses. Build Quality is also good and works very well on my Canon EOS 60D.

Consistent Output; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Strong Construction

Tamron is a third-party lens manufacturer, which has produced excellent lenses in the past. This offering is the 10-24mm lens, designed to replace the company's first wide-angle lens exclusively for crop-frame cameras -- the 11-18mm. The lens is available in , , , and mounts.

Compatibility with Nikon Speedlight

I purchased this lens to use with my D90 and I have found that it does not work with the auto zoom function on my SB600 speedlight as I would expect from any lens that is supposed to be compatible with a Nikon camera. You need to use manual zoom function which is a bit of a pain.

Excellent super wide angle alternative for Nikon

This is a great wide angle lens, particularly if u like landscapes or in my case, star trails. It's a little on the heavy side but very simple to use. As long as u keep away from stray artificial light sources when shooting at night, you will be extremely happy with this lens.

Tamron SP AF10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II Lens (Model B001)

The SP AF10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II is Tamron's second ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for cameras with APS-C sized sensors. Replacing an 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 lens, it provides a wider zoom range, particularly at longer focal lengths.

The Tamron SP designation is reserved for lenses developed with special emphasis on extraordinary photographic performance. Engineers are free to innovate in an uncommon atmosphere where optical performance comes before price, resulting in lenses that satisfy the demands of discerning photographers.

Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD SP AF

Had it for a few months, and the only reason I don't bring it along as often I should, is it's bulk, almost as big as my Tamron 90, which I prefer to bring along! The good side is that it is very resistant to flare, focuses fairly fast and seems very rugged.

Feels rugged; and sharp

A bit big; not least compared to similar lenses from Olympus

Tamron AF 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 SP Di II LD Aspherical IF - Review / Test Report

In this review we will have a look at how the lens performs on our current DX test camera, the Nikon D7000. The build quality is in line with most other Tamron lenses. The body is made out of plastic, which feels solid enough, but is not something to rave about.
