The TP-Link TL-WPA4220KIT worked as described. In a matter of minutes I had unpacked, configured and extended my home network. In my previous review, the TL-WA850RE gave a stronger signal boost but this kit at least lets me use my electrical circuit to get wireless to areas previously not possible...
Notebook computers may have popularized wireless networking in homes and business, but in the past few years the surge in mobile computing on smartphones and tablets has turned that convenience into a requirement.
We look at the WPA4220, a hybrid Powerline Wi-Fi extender from TP-LINK. Read on as Tyler tells us all about the kit and if it's worth buying or not.
Manufacturers tell me that wireless extenders are big sellers. I suppose it's no wonder, since most everyone wishes their Wi-Fi coverage were better than it is. Most extenders, however, have one major weakness-they reduce the bandwidth of the "extended" signal by half.
I'm thoroughly pleased with this monitor. I especially like the front panel icons that indicate the functions of buttons located under the bottom...
Great price; Excellent Image & Controls Placement
Too bright at times
Overall, the weaknesses of this monitor were nothing to deter me from making a hard decision very easy. The 24" screens on the market today are very appealing but when it comes down to functionality, the VE228H blew my mind.
Colour - Asus Smart Contrast Control has superiority over all other contrast ratios on the market Splendid Video Presets - this function adds to the product but does not put it arms length ahead of competition HDMI input - it is difficult to find a monitor >24" that has great HDMI reception.
Stand - the base ought to be taller or adjustable and a rotation function would be nice Speakers - relying on built in speakers as primary audio is a mistake (enough said Gloss frame - I prefer a mat finish on the frame but with all the techy benefits - who cares
Monitor sound was tinny, but I planned for external speakers any way. Instructions were not clear, especially how to change from RGP to HDMI on the monitor buttons, before turning the monitor on.
As our needs for a connected home increase and the number of devices in use at home grows it's inevitable that our networking needs also grow, sometimes expanding isn't as straight forward as we'd like.
Value, looks, and attributes. Buttons are placed on the bottom but aren't actually a issue. In no way worth knocking an egg off for. Upgrade from a Gateway 1280x1024 bought back in like 2005 and you can notice the difference. In my current Pc, I am using 2x nVidia 8500GT 512mb.
