Excluding the 3DS releases, the last time Mario Party graced our homes consoles was on the Wii U in 2015 with Mario Party 10 and to be honest, I failed to really connect with the game.

A fresh new addition to the renowned Mario Party series with all the best features from the previous titles in a streamlined, highly entertaining multiplayer extravaganza for all ages. New cooperative and rhythm party play modes adds to both the variety and hilarity!

It has been a while since I played Nintendo games and I forgot all about how intuitive and extremely fun it is to play with friends and family! The party games were super fun, but not just casual games like old Wii games. It required some getting used to and some discipline too.

I should say this off the top: I'm not truly acquainted with the Mario Party series. I've only dabbled in the modern set of games and never felt the urge to play the classic titles that so many have fallen in love with.

Super Mario Party's core Party mode and excellent minigames are the true Super Stars in this package. However, they're diluted by the extra modes. While some are genuinely creative and engaging, such as the team-based Partner Party and the fully cooperative River Survival, others feel like...

The Mario Party series has never aspired to be much more than a colorful delivery system for fun four-player minigames, and Super Mario Party at least succeeds in freeing its enjoyable content from its clunky, board-game framework.
