SteelSeries Siberia 200 Gaming Headset

Traveling can be a fun and new experience, depending on where you end up going to. I have traveled quite a bit with my family, but have never really gone anywhere crazy; we usually end up at standard tourist destinations.

Mediocre Performance

The main take away from these headphones seems to be that they are overpriced for the features offered. For prolonged wear while gaming, Steelseries Siberia V3 offers greatly better comfort.

+ Relatively lightweight + Concealed microphone which can be extended when needed; + Inline volume control with an on/off switch for the microphone; + Two metal bands at the top of the headphones for adjusting the overall width & pressure exerted onto one's head.

- Uncomfortable ear cups which don't allow for prolonged wear - Shorter cord than some competitors' headphones - Mediocre sound, with the need for an equalizer to tweak the sound to one's liking; - Overall bulky inline volume control.

Okay headset, I'd recommend buying one if you're able to try it on first and see if you like it. Overall build quality is OK, nothing special; lots of plastic but the headband feels decent and lasts a while. Audio quality is also OK, not bad but not amazing.

Not as comfortable as the Siberia V2 but it has the same awesome sound quality. The ear pads feels stiffer and I can't wear them as long, maybe 2 hours max.

Contrary to the description, these are actually the LEAST comfortable headphones I've ever had the displeasure of using. After more than an hour the pressure from the extremely tight band just gave me a splitting headache. Avoid these.

SteelSeries Siberia 200

This year (2015) has been quite the year for headset reviews on Christ Centered Gamer. I have reviewed no less than six headsets! Having done so many, I have started to get some perspective on what many manufacturers prioritize when designing them.

Very good sound quality, that is quite balanced; Comfortable fit; retractable microphone; good positional awareness; mic has good gain, and a handy mute switch

Does not stretch enough for gamers with big heads; audio cable is not detachable from the headset; could use a bit more high end 'sparkle'; less efficient than many competing models

Steelseries Siberia 200 Gaming Headset Review

Steelseries continue to impress with their Siberia range, sure the core models such as the V2, V3 and now the V200 have very few differences, but that's no bad thing. As the old saying goes "if it isn't broken, don't fix it".

Great build quality; Classic Siberia design; Range of colours available; Excellent performance; Closed-back design; Retractable microphone; Auto-adjusting headband; Multi-format support; Competitive price

SteelSeries Siberia 200 Gaming Headset Review

After testing the Siberia 200 headset along with the Sound Blaster ZxR while watching movies, some TV shows but also some games, we were happy with the fact that the output is clear, without relying heavily on lower frequencies as some gaming headsets do, while the stereo separation is clearly...

It has been a while since I was in the market for a new headset. Usually headsets do not break for no apparent reason. However if you have as much luck as I do, then you would be going through a few pairs a year.
