SteelSeries Rival 600 Mouse Review

While SteelSeries has a good reputation for its gaming mice, there's one thing its mice have always been missing: lift-off distance adjustment. Until now, that is, as the Rival 600 boasts a secondary sensory dedicated to lift-off distance (LOD) which can be tweaked to adjust the LOD between 0.5mm to...

Excellent sensor; Weight adjustment system; 8-zone RGB

Imbalanced weight distribution; Mushy RMB; DPI button is too tall; Expensive

Not viable for long term use

While the features seem nice, It just can't be used for gaming sessions longer than about an hour, as when the mouse warms up the glue holding the soft pads together very quickly melts and starts leaking out the sides causing hands to become a sticky mess. For something that labels itself as a ‘Gaming mouse’ this is just completely unacceptable, any gaming mouse has to be ready for frequent use and expect hands to become a little warm The ONLY reason that I am giving this 2 stars is because after taking the mouse apart, removing the soft pads, and scrubbing off all of the glue, I have been able to work around this problem.

SteelSeries Rival 600 gaming mouse packs impressive performance for the price

There is a ridiculous number of options for gaming mice. Starting at less than $10, it's possible to purchase one that doesn't sport advanced features and components but gets the job done.

Excellent performance; Adjustable weights; Good price; Comfortable; SteelSeries Engine

Not southpaw-friendly

Steelseries Rival 600

How much would you normally spend on a mouse £10 $20 Maybe even £30 if I'd been particularly stung (or should that be bitten) by a dodgy mouse in the past, but it would have to be a really good one for me to consider spending more.

Steelseries Rival 600 Mouse Review

The first Steelseries mouse that absolutely wowed us was the legendary Sensei. It won our mouse of the year after all. There have been a few Steelseries mice since then either adjusting the Sensei formula or being wholly new things, but the Rival range really put them on the map.

SteelSeries Rival 600 Gaming Mouse Review - The Feels

Count me in the group of gamers who likes to find a product that works and stick with it. I get a keyboard I love, then order several of them and keep a few backups in storage for when I need that new hardware feeling. The same goes for my mouse.

SteelSeries Rival 600 review: a wireless link away from being the best gaming mouse

The SteelSeries Rival 600 is the latest high-end gaming mouse from within their design studios. And, while I'm not 100% sure about its claim to being the world's first true 1 to 1 esports sensor, I'm more intrigued by the fact that it's made me change my grip from claw to palm.
